I’m a 2-year-old, action-packed pup who will love hiking, romping, and playing with you. Being a Heeler/Husky mix, I like being part of a pack, and sometimes I instinctively find myself herding. I even arrange my toys around the house, which made my Mom laugh. I know basic commands, am crate trained, and with my intelligence, I’ll learn whatever else you want me to do. Enthusiasm is my middle name! My Mom of two years was heartbroken to have to relinquish me, but a sudden injury prevents her from giving me the exercise I need for a good life. Mom said I’m a sweet girl who’s eager to please, and I need a strong but caring hand. I’m no bore, so if you’re ready for some fun and lots of love, I’m all yours!

When you walk into my kennel, I will greet you with a wagging tail and gentle kisses. I am a heeler mix and was found together with my best friend, Krystal, near the Interstate. Some very nice people took us here so we could be safe. I greet everyone with lots of tail wags and kisses. I love to give kisses, you know—I even give them to Krystal! I am not as pretty as she is, but she knows I make up for it with a heart of gold. Won’t you come and meet me so I can show you? Honey Bun

Hi… my name is Honey Bun,

I’m a sweet 61-pound terrier girl with a big love of people and other dogs. A kind man found me loping along near Anamax Park, and he brought me here to TALGV. He had kept me overnight, and said I was a friendly pooch. He found out I knew how to “sit,” “shake hands,” and “lie down.” Already I’m a favorite with the volunteers, and I’m enjoying a doggie roommate. Here I’ve demonstrated how affectionate I am, and how much I like to have splashy fun in water, even if it’s only a water bowl. I walk like a perfect lady on leash – I don’t pull, and I don’t jump up on people when I greet them. Come and see me, and you’ll find your next best friend and honey bun.
