Ever been the new kid at school who doesn’t know where the lockers are or why everyone else has friends? That was me when I first arrived at TALGV. One minute I was alone in the desert, and the next I was in a big, busy place with walls, people, and routines. I was terrified and needed a few days to realize I was safe. I soon realized everyone here was nice. Volunteers showed up with patience and treats, and a friendly dog “classmate” moved in with me. I started to relax and show my real self—an eager-to-learn Shepherd who loves recess (playtime!). I am a strong walker on leash, and I appear to be housetrained. I’d love a home with another playful dog. I’m a gentle big boy… just hoping for my forever homeroom.

My last name isn’t Finch, but it doesn’t mean I can’t still be the hero of your story. I am a young, handsome guy who is probably going to have a big body (based on my feet) and who definitely has lots of love to offer (based on my heart). My foster family reports that I am pretty special—I am nearly housetrained and I LOVE playing with other dogs. Have a pool, a water dish, or just a hose? Perfect, because I love water. I like spending time with my pack (human and dog), and I’m getting the hang of this leash thing. I’m a sweet, goofy pup who will grow to be an absolute heartbreaker! Once upon a time, a petite pup named Princess arrived at TALGV after her owner could no longer care for her. That’s me! Now I’m hoping for my fairy-tale ending. I may not wear a crown, but I do have royal manners—I appear to be housetrained, and I love my crate (my own castle!). I walk like royalty on a leash and always try to please. I can be shy at first, but once I know you, I’ll happily shower you with love. Cats? I found them interesting and tempting to chase. Other dogs? I enjoy walks with them, but I prefer to choose my own friends. What I really want is a family who’ll treasure me as much as I’ll treasure them. Adopt me and we’ll live Happily Ever After in our own Kingdom.
