Hi… my name is Bowser,

Adopted 8-25-18

My finder noted that I have a sweet disposition towards people and I’m not dog reactive, which goes to prove that your good nature can stay intact even when bad things happen. You see, I was a stray with no one to take care of me, which can be very dangerous for a young dog like me, and when rescued, I had been hurt. Fortunately, a kind person took me to an animal hospital, where my wounds healed up very nicely. And now, along with my already sweet disposition, I’m a grateful guy, too. Just 3-years-old, I’m a handsome Staffie mix male, about 52 pounds, tan with white markings, ready to start my carefree, fun-filled life. And if you’re the one to share your happy home with me, I’ll love you forever and a day.

Hi… my name is Buttercup,

Adopted 4-12-18

I need a new home because my person is working so much he feared I was being neglected. It’s true, I have been lonely, even worried sometimes, but here at TALGV, I’ve discovered a fabulous solution: A volunteer takes me to a great big room (well, “great big” from my 8-1/2-pound perspective), and all we do is play and cuddle. There are dog toys, sometimes I run around, and then we just sit and keep each other company. It’s the most fun ever! I’m a 1-1/2-year-old Chihuahua female who loves people—kids and adults, and in the past I’ve gotten along with another dog, didn’t chew on things or make noise. But I do yearn for your company, love and affection. If you have those gifts to give, all I really need is you.

Hi… my name is Socks,

Adopted 1-5-19

Socks has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

I came here with my long-time buddy Irwin, a little Rat Terrier mix. We’d lived happily together with our person, but then she needed to move and couldn’t take us along. Now, my little buddy has found his new home and so I’m ready for my turn. I’m a 7-year-old Lab mix female, tan and white with big brown eyes, and very accustomed to sharing my home. Indeed, you know how dogs love having a job? Well, I think mine is being someone’s devoted companion—keeping each other company, taking walks together, being the loyal friend who’s always glad to be with you. I’m housetrained, leash-trained, have Free Vet Care for Life, and there’s one more thing: For me, life isn’t complete without someone to love, so I’m asking: Will you be my someone?

Hi… my name is Dave,

Adopted 8-15-18

Dave has earned his AKS Canine Good Citizen Certificate

When you see me running and playing, maybe doing one of my tricks like offering someone a paw to shake, you can tell I’m focused on happy times. Oh, there were tough days in the past, but as they say, it’s better to be from a broken home than in one. So I’m grateful to be here—it’s not home, but it’s full of friends (some even give me those shoulder massages that feel so good), and here I’ve earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate for good behavior, for knowing how to sit, stay, come, and other important stuff. My former mom said I was housebroken, rode well in the car, and good when left home alone. So I’m set— ready to faithfully be by your side in our happy, fun, loving future together.
