When my human passed away, the caregiver kindly took me in. However, her other cat bullied me so here I am looking for a new home! My last mom said I like a quiet environment and scare easily (isn’t that like most cats?). I slept on her bed and liked to play with a lacy stick toy. Here at The Animal League I’m getting acclimated. Although somewhat shy, I do come out for attention and you can pick me up and hold me. I’ll snuggle in your lap. I’m a beautiful torti with large round eyes and an empty place in my heart to fill up. Could that be with you?

I had a nice home and mom says I was friendly and got along with large dogs. But allergies combined with a move meant I had to come to The Animal League. So, I’m a little grumpy, but I’m working to get over it. After a “growling phase” I am now realizing that the volunteers are nice, and I can enjoy some petting. I hang out in a cat tree where I can survey my new world. I’m a pretty tortoiseshell with an all-black nose, and yellow-green eyes. I’d like to find a new home to settle in and get comfortable again. Aren’t I a beauty? My special genetic makeup that has a completely different coat color and pattern on one side of my face than the other is known as “Chimera.” How special I am! And loving? You bet! I’m on my second go-round here. Three years ago I was found in a car engine in a parking lot, and people were able to catch me and bring me to safety. I was adopted by a nice person, but they are now moving overseas. So I’m back! I come with a good recommendation. I’m gentle with children and am used to another cat. I pretty much eat anything and sleep anywhere, and I’m pretty laid back in general. I love to rub up against legs and feet. The volunteers here say I respond well to petting, brushing and scratching.
