Hi… my name is Ritz,

Adopted September 30, 2015

My foster mom, with whom I lived for many weeks until I gained my strength and “got growed,” said, “No one told Ritz she was named after a cracker because she’s thinking more along the lines of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel!  She’s a very sweet kitten who just seems to have class.” Well, that’s what happens when you’re pampered and coddled — you learn to love (and expect) it! Since I was only three weeks old when found, I needed a lot of TLC to get my weight up with extra nourishment, but one look at me and you’ll see how well that paid off! I’m a darling, medium-haired torti/tabby mix girl who is going to be one of those “can’t-take-your-eyes-off-her” ladies when I’m grown. You be the one to watch that happen!

Hi… my name is Lucy,

Adopted November 27, 2015

Despite my current anxiety about my life’s changes (my mom passed away recently), her daughter said that I’m really a delightful girl who can be laid back or playful — depending on my mood. She said that I love chasing balls with bells inside, am a “very clean litterbox girl” who likes to be “neat and tidy,” and love to have “daily chats” with you. I’ve been living with my siblings, Paul and Carlos, and adore them mightily, so staying with one or both of them would be SO nice (and make our transition into a new life a lot easier!). I’m a diminutive tabby/ tortoiseshell mix who loved sleeping with my mom at night, so if you’re looking for a bed partner of the feline kind to purr sweet nothings in your ear, I’m your gal!

Hi… my name is Roma,

Adopted 3-14-18

The last few months have been pretty rough for me, so I hope you’ll excuse my reserve at the moment. I was really close to my two siblings, Spirit and Shadow, but was left behind when they came to TALGV. Then my two babies, Sheba and Simba, came here and I was left alone again, so I guess I developed a “complex” thinking I wasn’t loved! Well my human mom said that although I’m fairly independent, I do want a “connection” with my person, and once I know you, I enjoy love and attention, being stroked and scratched (approach me from behind at first as I’m initially a little skittish), and I do respond well to my name. I’m pretty young myself, so I know time and patience will be a friend to us both!

Hi… my name is Gris.

Adopted September 23, 2015

Sometimes the best of intentions go awry. My folks had hearts of gold and, like lots of people, just couldn’t say “no” when a stray cat arrived in their yard. After they’d accumulated 20 of us (none neutered!), they realized that they needed help finding us safe homes. So TALGV’s Outreach Program came to the rescue, and we’re here now and ready for just that — homes of our own. My mom said, “Gris is very gentle. If you ask her if she wants love, she’ll throw herself down on the floor and you can pet her there or pick her up and set her beside you. She gets along with other cats, but especially adores Leonard so I hope they can stay together!” Won’t you please make that happen for us?

Hi… my name is Scarlett.

Adopted October 13, 2015

Although I was initially shy after my many-month sojourn living outside, I’ve become a very sweet girl who adores sitting in your lap and getting lots of love. The people who found me gave me a place to stay and plenty of good food for a while, but they had three cats and two dogs, and simply didn’t have the resources to accommodate another resident. Since I’ve been here, I’ve found that I much prefer the company of humans over cats (I’m such a tiny unassuming little thing that I’m easily intimidated!), so I dream every night (and during cat naps too!) of having a human all to myself. I’m a classic torti girl, about 13 months old, and hope that your search for the perfect companion will end with me!

Hi… my name is M.K. (Miss Kitty)

Adopted December 24, 2014.

Here’s all you need to know about me: “This cat was a wonderful companion to her owner and would not leave his side. She brought a lot of joy to him, as he was a handicapped Viet Nam veteran who just passed away. She loves to sit and be petted and sleep wherever she wants (sometimes in a closet!).” All I can add is that I didn’t live with kids, but was okay with them when they visited (I played a tad rough sometimes though), lived with another cat that died a year ago, and don’t care for dogs that chase me (who would?). I’m a beautiful 3-year-old Torbie girl (a mix of tortoiseshell and tabby), who’d love to bring as much joy to you as I did to my dad.

Arrived December 19, 2014.

Hi… my name is Oakie.

Adopted 11-9-16

Life’s ups and downs can be really stressful for us felines, and it took me quite some time to feel safe at TALGV. Frankly, I was really frightened upon arrival, but am adjusting nicely now. My mom said that I’m a sweet lady who gets along with adults and other cats (no kids), am “safe around birds” (in case you have a few flying around in your house), and that I enjoyed a spot of Ensure every day (we can share!). She said that I only ate dry food and that my belled collar was my “security blanket” talisman that kept me safe! I’m a sweet, tortoiseshell lady who’s recovering from the pain of losing the only home I’ve ever known, but with patience will adjust to a quiet new life with you.
