Animal League News

HUEY is a handsome, playful, and quiet 4-month-old, 15-pound hound (?) mix male that needs a good home. He is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained (will use doggy door). He knows basic obedience training (knows sit and recall). He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available (vet estimates he will be about 35 pounds when full grown). Huey loves going on walks and playing with other dogs. He likes to be in his crate. Foster Mom says he gets along with cats; children are unknown. He is extremely cuddly, wants to please, and loves human attention. You will be rewarded with his loyal companionship, and he just may be your “perfect dog.”

There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Huey into a loving home as part of your family, please call Susan any day after 5 PM at 307-637-6023. (There is no voice mail; if no one answers, please call again.)

Hi… my name is Dolly,

For seven wonderful years, it was just me and my dad—and I loved him with all my heart. When he could no longer care for me, my world changed, and I’ve been missing him every day.  The TALGV volunteers are dedicated to finding the perfect home for me. I’m housebroken, walk nicely on a leash, and though I’m a bit shy at first, I warm up with patience and kindness. I’m on a little diet right now—food hasn’t been my focus since arriving—but I’m slowly starting to feel better. I believe there’s a family out there who will help my heart heal. Someone who understands that love takes time, but it’s worth it. I’m ready to find my second chance… a home filled with comfort, care, and a place to belong again.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Chelsea,

A kind-hearted person brought me into another shelter carrying me in her arms. “Where’s my carrier?” I asked. “Where’s my human?” I was a stray, so no answer. Thankful I am that two volunteers brought me to The Animal League (in a carrier!) to be cared for until my very own human comes to adopt me. I am a petite beauty with a quiet disposition. I’m cuddly. I purr when I’m petted and curl around for ear scratches. I lap up canned food like there’s no tomorrow. I’m angelic when napping. You can’t find a sweeter kitty than me! Do I sound like your perfect pet? Let’s meet and find out!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Livingston,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I needed a loving home. I saw a “pet doggie door” and ran through it into what I hoped would be my forever home. Well, no go! This house could not accommodate me so off I came to The Animal League. I’m really a sweet cat, a “chill dude.”  I appreciate human attention. I love to be petted and brushed. Because I’m FIV+, I have Vet Care Support for Life. I’m able to live with other cats since FIV can only be spread by a deep bite wound. My wish: a home of my own with human(s) to love me.  Is that your home?

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Andes,

I was named after one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world because we share a lot of the same characteristics: I will also be big, and I’m already regal, majestic, and totally awesome. My sisters and I were abandoned when we were small, so we’re still learning what it means to be dogs in the human world. I would love to find a home with another dog or a patient person who could show me all the perks of living with people. They say I am a smart girl, and I love to play with other dogs. I am quiet (for a puppy), very gentle with people, and I learn commands quickly. Once you earn my trust, I will awe you with my loyalty and affection, and we can explore the world (or just the park) together.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.
