Hi… my name is Shadow,

Adopted 7-10-20

I was roaming around Madera Highlands when I stopped to rest in someone’s front yard. Before I knew it, a lady took me into her home and introduced me to her two children and the family dog. For three days, while she tried to find my home, I enjoyed their company. I can use the doggie door and sit on command. The lady said I’m playful and cuddly and ride well in a car. Since I arrived at TALGV, it was discovered I’m good on a leash, and okay in a crate. I’m certain there are many other attributes to be discovered. I’m an approximately 10-month-old Blue Heeler mix and I’m ready for a new home. Please be part of my future and make an appointment to meet face to face.

Hi… my name is Lexi,

Adopted 7-25-20

Did I hear someone mention BALL? I love chasing a ball and playing catch all day and that’s the reason I’m at TALGV. My people are moving into a small apartment without a much-needed yard. I lived with another dog and a cat and even though we got along, I may need some socializing when I’m introduced to new dogs. I’ve had some training and I can sit and stay. I understand the meaning of outside and treat. I’m crate trained and I can use a doggie door. My leash training is a work in progress and I’m being taught how to accept treats gently, like a lady. Please consider calling TALGV to make an appointment for us to meet and maybe, if you want, we can even toss a few balls.

Hi… my name is Brooke,

Adopted 7-6-20

I was found tied outside “The Attic” at TALGV. I arrived with a bag of food and a bowl of water. The store was closed but luckily a volunteer was coming in to work and figured I wasn’t there to shop. I’m a sweet, approximately 1-year-old Lab/ Shepherd mix female. I found out immediately how friendly everyone is. I was also fortunate enough to arrive in time for breakfast. Everyone went to work making me comfortable and even showed me how to use a doggie door. Now I have a private room with my own yard and toys to play with. It seems they have some kind of school here to teach pups like me and find us new homes. Please make an appointment to meet me because I would love my own forever home.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

It’s hard for many cats to adjust to new lives when their owners die, but it’s doubly hard on us seniors, and it’s certainly true for my housemate, Mr. Bert, and me. I’m a little more outgoing than he is, but I’m still pretty shy and am discombobulated at the moment. The volunteers tell me that things will be okay one of these days, so I’d really like to believe that. I’ll bet it would be lots easier for me to adapt to a new home with Mr. Bert by my side, so won’t you consider giving two sweet, quiet, older felines a new start? (Oh, and we both have Vet Care Support for Life!).

Adopted June 30, 2020

ROSIE is a gentle, sweet, and affectionate 18-month-old, 25-pound Cattle Dog mix female that needs a new home because rescuer can no longer keep her. She is housebroken, spayed, and shots are up to date. She has some obedience training: knows sit, let’s go, get in bed, and outside. She is crate trained but could use more practice with leash  walking. She rarely barks and loves lots of chew toys and being petted. Rosie is okay with other dogs and cats; children are unknown. She can be shy with new people and may do best as an only pet (preferably with female).

There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome this loyal, faithful girl into a loving home as part of your family, please call Sydney between 9 AM and 10 PM at 520-625-4344.

Hi… my name is Megera (aka Honda),

Adopted 6-30-20

I was adopted from TALGV when I was a small puppy and now, because of changes in the family, I’ve been returned. I’m leash trained, friendly, playful and energetic, plus I know how to sit, lie down, spin, and shake. I’m crate and potty trained and ask to go outside. I’m only a year old, still a puppy, so I need more basic behavior training. My former owner said I’m a good listener and I learn fast. The people here are all loving and supportive. I get to go out for daily walks and come back to a clean room (I love room service). What I really want is a new “forever” home with a family I can share my life and love with. Please consider adding me to your family. When you are ready to meet me, just call TALGV office to make an appointment.
