Hi… my name is Baby (aka Cagney),

Adopted 4-5-20

My owner was very sad to have to surrender me, but here at TALGV I feel that I’m in good hands. With my beautiful face and sweet demeanor, I surely won’t be here long. I have this really gorgeous brindle coat that is unusual for Aussies. I’m a little shy at first, but I won’t run from you and will warm up quickly to your gentle petting. I just need a little time to adjust to all the changes around me. They are very kind here, but I really just want a special home where I can love my human. I need someone who will be patient and kind and help me overcome my shyness? Could that be you?

Hi… my name is Sugar,

Adopted 3-23-20

My sister, Spice, and I were (let’s face it) “abandoned” at a nice lady’s house. She brought both of us to TALGV so we could find a good home. I have to admit that I’m a hefty 19-pound female Bassett Hound mix, approximately 4 months old. I’m just the right age to start some obedience training. Even though my sister and I resemble each other, you can easily tell us apart since I look like sugar topped with spice and she looks like a mixed blend of spices. People often describe us as unusual, adorable, and so much more. Please take another look at me and if you would like to sweeten your life, but you don’t want the added calories consider a little SUGAR like me.

Hi… my name is Spice,

Adopted 3-22-20

My sister, Sugar, and I were “dropped off” at a wonderful lady’s house, and by bringing us to TALGV she knew we would be cared for. I’m a sturdy 16 ½ pound female Bassett Hound mix, approximately 4 months old. I’m just the right age to start my obedience training. You can tell my sister and I are related even though our appearance is different. Just by looking at the two of us, you will recognize me since I’m a rich blend of spices and she resembles sugar with a sprinkle of spice on top. I have heard people say we are beautiful, cute, adorable, and even more. Please take a good look, and if you are interested in adding a little SPICE to your life, you might want to consider adding me.

Tux

Hi… my name is Tux,

Adopted with Ziti 4-5-20

I guess some people forget how active kittens are, even as “teenagers”! My friend, Ziti, and I went to live with a couple when we were still in the fluffy, adorable stage, but since they worked long hours, they finally decided that they didn’t have enough time to spend with us, and felt another more “doting” home would suit us better (they said THEY weren’t a good fit, not us!). Dad said that I’m really playful and a great “support cat” for Ziti, who’s a bit laid back, and that I love laser lights and playing in my cat tower. I’ve got my paws crossed that two bonded companions are exactly what you’re looking for!

Hi… my name is Estrella,

Adopted 7-1-20

My name means “star,” and in this case that comes in the form of an adorable 7-year-old Lab mix girl. The lady I previously lived with thought I was a little more “dog” than she could handle. I can sit when treats are involved, and it seems I know the command “leave it” when distracted. My foster Mom said that I love people and like most dogs. I’m house trained, use the doggie door, and walk well on a leash. I like car rides, but I don’t behave well when I see people and dogs on the sidewalk, so we’re working on that little problem. Some basic obedience training would be helpful. Please consider letting me become the star that could brighten your home and your life.

Hi… my name is Bella,

Adopted 3-8-20

High Five! A nice lady found me and brought me to TALGV. I stayed with her and her two dogs for a couple of weeks, but we found I did not like sharing with her other girl dog. I did get along fine with my finder’s male dog, though. The first thing you notice are my big radar ears, then my pretty brown and white pinto coat. I am housebroken, know all the common commands, and play fetch. I have impeccable leash manners, so just say the word and I’ll jump in the car to go for a hike with you. I have a bit of an alpha personality, so I’m picky about my dog friends and probably prefer to be an only dog, or perhaps share with a submissive male dog. But I do so love playing with people. I’m pretty laid back, even here in this strange environment. Come on down and say Hi, so we can work out a deal and shake on it.

SPUDS is a handsome 2-year-old, 65-pound neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier that needs a new home. He is in good health, shots are up to date, and medical records are available. He is housebroken, leash trained, and crate trained. He knows many commands, such as: sit, down, come, up, and touch. He is okay with children, but due to his size, kids should be over 10 years of age. Spuds needs to be an only dog. There is no adoption fee for Spuds. If you would welcome him into your home, please call Andrea between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at 520-307-9481.
