Hi… my name is Kava,

Adopted 1-13-20

I didn’t mean to hitchhike. To be honest with you I was quite nervous. That probably explains why, when the car stopped and the door opened, I immediately jumped in. Then I was taken to the home of my rescuer where I felt safe and secure. After spending the night I came to TALGV where I was made to feel at home. They were informed that I am a calm, friendly girl that loves to cuddle and it seems I also like kids. My basic “commands” education is not known, but I walk well on a leash. Now I have my own room but I would prefer my own home and someone to love. If you are interested in an affectionate gal that enjoys a cuddle—-I’m yours.

Hi… my name is Chief,

Adopted 12-29-19

After my sister and I were orphaned, we didn’t know where to go. A wonderful lady found us roaming the neighborhood and rescued us. She already had three dogs of her own, so she couldn’t keep us. She brought us in to TALGV and told them that we were very special, loving dogs that deserved a good home. Then my sister was adopted, but her new family couldn’t take us both. I’m waiting for that special person to come in to see me. I’m still young and have lots of energy. I will probably need some training but I’ll be worth it. Why don’t you come in and meet me. I’m very affectionate and would love to cuddle with my special person. Could that be you?

Hi… my name is Thor,

Adopted 12-16-19

I’m 4 years old and 17 pounds of pure sweetness! I’m a male Terrier/Chihuahua whose family consisted of 5 children, a Rottweiler, a cat, and a Mom and Dad. They had to move out of state to a place that couldn’t accept pets. My Dad said I love playing fetch and cuddling. The volunteers say I bond very easily and make friends in a very short time. In just a few days, I’ve learned to walk on leash for the first time, and I’ve made a lot of new friends. In fact, I see everyone who walks through the door as a potential new friend or family member! Come see me and fall in love. I know I will.

Hi… my name is Buddy,

Adopted 2-14-20

Comes with post-adoption support.

I’m a laid back, loving buddy to any and all who want to be my friend. I was lost and sick, and my rescuer saved my life by bringing me here. I was very underweight, and the vet discovered I had untreated diabetes. I was so tired, but now with my insulin treatments and correct diet, I’m returning to health. Folks here say I’m an affectionate, quiet, easy-peasy guy who’s totally cooperative with my insulin injections. (I also come with post-adoption support to help offset the costs associated with my diabetes.) TALGV volunteers have given me a warm coat to wear and a soft bed to snuggle in. When they visit me, I gently greet them with gratitude. I often overhear them outside my kennel saying, “That Buddy is a love!” That’s what I have in spades for the person who sees I’m worthy of their care and takes me home.

Hi… my name is Joey,

Adopted 3-21-20

Note: Joey is ready for new owner to finish his AKC Canine Good Citizen training.

A Gentle Giant. That’s what one of the volunteers called me. At 84 pounds, I’m a handsome black Staffie mix. I like everyone without reservation and my big goofy grin and beautiful eyes follow you everywhere. I’m also very aware of my size, so I won’t step on your toes while you are petting me. My friends at TALGV want you to know that I love to jump and climb, but I just know I love being around people and don’t like being left home alone. They also want you to know that I am ready for you to finish my Canine Good Citizen training. I love going for walks with you and even with other dogs and I’m very gentle. I like everyone, and I’ll find you wherever you go. Wouldn’t you like to have a gentle soul like me in your life?
