Hi… my name is Lexi,

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

I was with my family for 10 years, but circumstances changed and I was brought here to TALGV. They said I was a very sweet and mellow girl. But after being with the same humans for 10 years, I found it to be very disconcerting to be here. Fortunately folks here were very patient and understanding, which gave me a chance to blossom into the sweet loving dog my owner said I was. Now I’m getting into the swing of things, showing off my obedience training, sit, down, stay; walking with other puppers from the den. Big dogs are very scary and make me nervous, but other than that, I’m obedience trained, housebroken, leash trained, have Vet Care Support for Life, and am ready for a new furever home.

Hi… my name is Miki,

Adopted 12-21-19

I was only two months old when I was found by a man who had a family of three children. I was with them for five months. I’m happy to report they said I was “a love dog.” I was crate-trained and leash-trained, and learned the Spanish words for “sit” and “lay down.” I’m smart, so I can learn English as well as Spanish. My Dad started working long hours, and all the children were in school most of the day. So, they brought me here, knowing it was too lonely for me in an empty house. Being a young Heeler/Pointer, I have lots of energy. I’ll be happy in a home where I can learn and play, be part of a family, and once again be “a love dog,” this time for you.

Hi…my name is Chance,

Adopted 1-2-20

By any chance would you be looking for a dog who’s young, full of life, and a people-lover? Then I’m looking for you, too. My Dad passed away, and I spent the summer with a nice lady and her 2 elderly dogs. They didn’t like a pup who wanted to play with them, so I came here to find a new home. I look like a Pointer with the face of a happy Heeler. I like to run, play with toys and go for car rides. Sometimes I get “the zoomies,” where I run really fast, then come to a dead halt, and do it again. On day one at TALGV, I admit I was sad. But the next day I had lots of visitors calling me “handsome, sweet, and smart.” I’ll be all that and more if you take a chance on me.

If “big love” is something you’re looking for, I can fill that order in two ways: I’m big (16 pounds!) and I’ve been blessed with an extra helping of love! I lived with my mom and another feline friend all my life, and I thought “happily ever after” was going to be my future. Sadly, mom went into assisted living and they didn’t allow pets, so I’m here hoping that the “ever after” dream can still be a reality. I’m a declawed grey tabby gentleman who adores attention, and I’m so eager to share that love with you (oh, I also have vet care support for life now that I’m 10, so I’m a double winner!).

Hi… my name is Nala,

Adopted 1-5-20

“These are a bunch of really nice, sweet cats.” That’s what the volunteers said when we came to TALGV from Pima Animal Control Center because they were so overcrowded. We were all lucky that there was space for us here, but I must admit going through the intake “rigmarole” at both places really left me a bit confused (but you can be certain I’m well vetted!). I’m an 8-year-old lady who obviously gets along with other cats (in case you have one who’d like a friend!). I do so hope that my days of not being sure where we’re going to wake up are behind me, because that place will always be with you!

We were all lucky that there was space for us here, but I must admit going through the intake “rigmarole” at both places really left us a bit confused (but you can be certain we’re well vetted!). I’m a petite, chin-scratch-loving, 14-month-old youngster with a delightful white “poof” on my nose (thus my name, of course!) and I hope that my days of not being sure where I’m going to wake up in the morning are behind me, because that place will always be with you!

You mightn’t know it, but being held is not usually a “thing” for cats, mainly because we’re insecure when not “in control.” Gentle head scratches is right up there in the “yes” department though, so if you don’t have an overwhelming urge to embrace, I might be for you! Looks though? That’s a big “yes”! Vet care support for life? Another “yes.” Other animals? That’s a big “NO”! I lived with my dad all of my 11 years, but when he moved in with his new wife and her menagerie, well, life wasn’t that bed of roses I’d signed on for, so now’s the time to help me start anew as your one and only!

Hi… my name is Muffy,

Adopted 7-11-20

Oh, the vagaries of life! My sister, Fluffy, and my other housemates, Sneakers and Socks, lost our home because our dad had too many pets and couldn’t find anyone to care for us when he traveled. We lived happily with the whole family, which included a dog, so I really miss having the company of humans and other critters to play with. Dad said that although initially I can be kinda shy, once I warm up, I love petting (I can turn my head upside down for you!), and I can promise I’ll do all I can to win your attention. So come claim one of the sweetest gals in the world for yourself!

Love comes in many sizes and when you’re a “plus-size” girl like me, the old saws are true: “big is beautiful,” and “there’s more of me to love!” My sister, Muffy, and my other housemates, Sneakers and Socks, lost our home because our dad had too many pets and couldn’t find anyone to care for us when he traveled. We lived happily with the whole family, which included a dog, so I really miss having the company of humans and other critters to play with. I can promise you one thing though – I’ll do all I can to win your attention, so come claim one of the loveliest green-eyed gals in the world for yourself!
