Hi… my name is PJ (aka Triumph),

I was adopted as a puppy, then later returned for being “too much puppy.” Could I be anything else BUT a puppy? I think not! Since coming back, I’ve aced my basic manners and leash training from my two- and four-legged friends. I was lucky enough to be in a foster home where I proudly demonstrated I’m house trained, crate trained, and even learning to ring a bell when I need to go out. I know all the commands, take treats gently, and walk like a pro — though I might occasionally zig-zag like a bird dog on patrol. I’m affectionate, calm, playful in bursts, and always keep an eye on my people. Basically, I’m a 5-Star Dog. Want proof? Check out my foster “Report Card” below. I’ve mastered “How to be the Best Dog Ever 101.”

When dad lost his job, he had to move and couldn’t take me or my feline roommates. I had babies at the time and they are all taken care of—now my turn for a new home! I’m a young, active girl who likes to play but I’m fine with petting and brushing too. I’ve been lying on a perch on a cat tree here, showing off my golden eyes and light buffy coat. I have very light stripes in my coat, too. Very unusual! My name comes from Lake Superior, but once you meet me you just may decide it also refers to my personality!

Hi… my name is Henry,

When the folks decided they had too many pets, three of us cats came to The Animal League. We’re all taking time to adjust to our new digs and at first it was a little rough. At first I spent my time in a wall cubby and the volunteers were able to stroke my body with a wand; now I come out and I enjoy petting, scratching and being brushed. I’m a young boy with a mostly grey coat with patches of white. What would suit me best is a regular home with an owner who could help me continue to let my better nature come out. Could you give me a chance?

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Since I’ve been here a while, I now qualify for Vet Care Support for Life. In my previous home, my people were having issues with my behavior, and maybe I was a little stressed out. Coming here has really helped, though. I like brushing and playing with a string toy. I approach visitors and rub against their legs for attention. I think I need an easy-going home where I am an only pet with an empty chair for my naps where I can let my better nature shine through. After all, I’m too young to be set in my ways!
