Hi… my name is Queenie Sue,

Adopted 9-16-17

Queenie Sue has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Running free can be glorious if you’re safe—like when you’re at home or out running with your person. But I was found running loose and not safe at all because I was near a highway, without a collar or tag, and without a friend until a gentleman stopped, picked me up and brought me here. People say I’m stunningly beautiful—a blonde and white Husky mix female with a good-looking physique at 61 pounds—and those kind words are sweet, but I’m way more interested in how we feel about each other. Come visit and you’ll see that I’m looking for a friend. I’m 4 years old and still energetic, so we could exercise and then relax together the way old buddies do. How about it? Could we be friends for life?

Hi… my name is Sweetie,

Adopted with Pie 3-9-20

Sweetie has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

True to my name, I’m a real sweetie—gentle and loving, and at other times playful and active. I share life with Pie—a much happier life now. In the past, we were abandoned at a rental house, but we’ve left that sadness behind. Today, we’re enjoying a stay at a foster home, where we’ve learned indoor/outdoor manners. We each go to the door, sit and wait to go in or out. And foster mom says we’re fully housetrained! We both know commands like “sit,” “stay” and “come,” and were well-behaved passengers in the car. We do alert to a knock on the door, and other than that, foster mom says, we’re perfect! All we need is love—that forever kind of love that comes with a home. Could we find it with you?

Pie

Hi… my name is Pie,

Adopted with Sweetie 3-9-20

Given the chance (a nice yard, a person to encourage me), I’m an active, enthusiastic dog. And if napping indoors were a sport, I’d have some gold medals by now. I arrived here with Sweetie, another lovely dog, after we were abandoned at a rental house. Today, we’re enjoying the good life at a foster home, where we’ve demonstrated very nice indoor/outdoors manners—we’re both fully housebroken, plus we sit by the door and wait to go in or out. We know important commands and are good passengers in the car. Foster mom says we’re wonderful companions—that we alert to a knock at the door, but are otherwise perfect! We’re both great snugglers and are yearning for that one perfect place—a forever home with someone to love. Could that be with you?

Hi… my name is Chubbs,

Adopted 2-13-17

Three new mouths to feed were three too many for our person, so my brothers and I came to TALGV, where the food is yummy. Equally delightful, play time here is all day and all night—except when we’re napping, which happens often. We have fun running around, jumping (our puppy hop-pounce kind of thing—you just have to be here), and love it when humans come play and cuddle with us! We’re friendly, fun-loving Chihuahua/Poodle mix pups; I’m an adorable male, the one with the white coat. Just 3.14 pounds on arrival, I’m still growing and have lots to learn. If you take me home, I’ll need your love, time and patience, and will try to make you smile every day. Won’t you please come see if my puppy love is for you?

Hi… my name is Gracie,

Adopted with Sophia 3-4-17

Gracie comes with Free Vet Care for Life

In my “first life,” I lived with my friend, Sophia, and a houseful of kids and dogs for seven years. Even then, we much preferred the older, quiet humans to the raucous “others,” and after they had to relinquish us, we went to live with a single, older lady and life was finally serene. Sadly, after our mom died, there was no family to take us in, so we’re both back again, looking for that “third time’s a charm” place (hopefully together!). I’m an affectionate, declawed “meeter-and-greeter” type who, at almost 15 years, will have free vet care for life (and offer a whole lot of “thank you” love if you take me home!). “Seniors for seniors” is my mantra, so why not let it be yours, too?

Hi… my name is Stella,

Adopted with Callie 3-7-17

I just want to know one thing: why is it that dogs often get to go with their owners when they move and we cats draw the short straw? I’d say that’s racial profiling, except my mom really did love me, so I guess maybe she didn’t have a choice. At any rate, my sister, Callie, and I are going to miss the family, but we’re both so enchanting, that I have high hopes we’ll find new digs soon. Mom said, “Stella likes catnip toys and laser pointers, is very sweet and loves to be petted, but she’ll often disappear to have her ‘alone time.’” If you ask me, that’s just typical cat behavior though, so come take a gander at me, spend a little time, and let’s see what we can work out!

Hi… my name is Puffer,

Adopted 3-29-17

When I first arrived, I looked a lot like Yoda because I’d been in a real dust up and had to have my ear shaved so they could patch up all the injuries I’d received (you should have seen the other guy though!). I’m well on my way to recovery now though, ‘cause we felines can bounce back really fast thanks to our nine lives! At the moment, I’m enjoying the attention I’m getting (they’ve discovered I love belly rubs in addition to just plain one-on-one time!), and I’m almost my old self again – with a striking snowy coat and killer orange eyes – and ready to go on with life in a safe, “no-outdoors-allowed” home! I just know yours would be perfect!

Hi… my name is Smokey,

Adopted 3-11-17

One night, way past bedtime—about 1:30 a.m.—I was out with my dog friend, Ember. We were lost, running down the road without knowing where to go, so I was greatly relieved when we ended up here (courtesy of the police). I’m a Heeler mix female, almost 2 years old, a real sweetie at 36 pounds. My coat is a beautiful black with some white, very soft, and I hope you think I’m cute, but the best part of me is on the inside. I’m very loving—even giving kisses if you like—and playful; I say toys are good; treats are great! And what do I dream about? A home with you! Make me yours and my whole world will revolve around you. How about we start making each other happy today!
