I’m a Deaf dog, so they had fun learning my sign language, and we all fell in love with each other except their other dog, that didn’t want me around. So, Foster Mom left messages for you about me, and here’s part of what she wrote: “This dog is amazing! Housetrained…good in a crate…loves other dogs and cats…very good at reading others to figure out how they want to play…at home he didn’t bark once…good when he slept with us—no messes, no fussing…he’s a very smart boy.” I’m a 3-year-old male, yearning to give you my whole happy heart. So what do you say—will you give me a chance?

“Very sweet, talkative, and attention starved. Homie came from a hoarding situation and didn’t have food at times and rarely received any sort of kindness.” That’s what my foster mom said after she rescued me, but after having me for three weeks, she said that I was really coming out of my shell and craving human interaction. When you’ve lived with twenty-some cats, it’s hard to assert yourself, so I always kept a low profile. Well, that’s something I’d like to fix right quick, so if you have a bit of patience and lots of love in your heart, I promise that you’d make my year! I’m a 2½ year-old boy with a distinctive tipped ear whose sole aim in life is to make yours happy!

Guess where I was found? Behind a vet clinic, lost and scrounging for food. That was a lucky location and, honestly, it was time my luck changed. X-rays at that clinic indicated a fractured pelvis in my past (back when I was a really little puppy), probably from being hit by a car. Fortunately, it healed in a useable manner. Some people may notice a limp, but I get along just fine. I hope you’ll let me show you because then maybe we could play and that’s one of my favorite things. I’m a very loving, sweet Heeler mix male, 8 months old, brown, and 35 pounds. Cars still scare me, but being near people makes me very happy. Take me home and I’ll do my best to make you very happy, too!

OK, I guess I need to go to an “anti-bullying” class ‘cause that’s what cost me my home! When my dad’s girlfriend and her cats moved in I wasn’t in a very welcoming mood, and have to admit that I did intimidate them a bit too much (hey, I was there first!), so unfortunately my housemate, Scarlett, and I were the ones that had to leave. Dad said I got along “to the point of playfulness” with the dogs in residence though, was very loving with people and kids, and “played with anything.” Well, I guess I’ve learned my lesson, so if you’re looking for a “playful, kittenlike, bold, outgoing, gentle, and tolerant” (with everyone but felines!) addition to your family, I’m your guy!

People often comment on my beauty—my gentle eyes, sweet face, soft brown and white coat, and well-proportioned body (50 pounds)—and those compliments are kind, but we know that real beauty is more than fur-deep. I want you to know about my temperament—my sweet, loving nature—and how much I love to be with people. The woman who found and cared for me for two months (but couldn’t keep me), said I was housebroken and good with other dogs. She said I was friendly, and I think you’ll agree. I’m just 2 years old, a young adult female who minds beautifully on a leash, and still loves to have fun, too. Let’s take a walk and discover how good we’ll be together, side by side, down all the happy trails ahead.

Our family said I loved to snuggle, quickly understood commands to “sit” and “come,” but as a lively pup, I still had lots more to learn. So that’s what I’ve been doing here—training for good manners, learning to walk well on a leash and generally how to please my person. Of note, although I lived with children in the past, these days I’m best with adults only. Now 1-year-old, I’m an energetic and playful male who’d be thrilled to be the new addition to your active life. I’m about 49 pounds, white with tan speckles and spots, and a sweet, handsome face. I’m ready for a lifetime of fun and companionship (including snuggle time, too)—how about you?

At 1+ years old, I’m energetic, enjoy the active life, and friends say I’m beautiful—a fawn and white Lab mix female, about 50 pounds, who could melt your heart with the hopeful look in my eyes.
