Hi… my name is Sammy,
Adopted with Suki 11-7-16
My best friend, Suki, and I were left without a home when our person moved away. Thank goodness, we have each other, and who knows? Could be the best is yet to come for us! Granted, we’re not spring chickens, but being mature can be a very good thing. I’m a 9-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix male, 79 pounds, with a tan and white coat. I’ve lots of loves in life—according to my former family, I love kids, cats, cuddling, playing with Suki, and, yes, people—I’m an affectionate guy. They said I was gentle with the kids (all ages visited) and got along with cats, horses and mules (the mules had no comment). Suki and I would like to stay together and if that’s okay in your home, we’ll double the love for you.

Adopted 11-11-16
When our dear person died, no one in her family could adopt us—that is, her other dog, Chabella, and me. Guess I should call that her human family because Chabella and I were definitely part of her whole family. Then, good news came fast: I’m thrilled to say that someone wonderful adopted Chabella, and now we hope I’m going to be next! I’m little—an adorable 3-year-old white Terrier mix female who weighs just 10 pounds, so yes, you could say I’m pint-size, but please know my heart is big enough for full-size love. TALGV has helped me get ready for a happy future and you can imagine how excited I am to think my magical day could be here soon — the day my wonderful someone takes me home forever!

Adopted 7-26-17
Calvin has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.
When I was found in a grocery store parking lot, folks weren’t sure what to call me. So a DNA test was done, which showed I’m part Bullmastiff, Chow Chow, Staffordshire Terrier, Samoyed, and other mixed breeds. TALGV volunteers say I’m also part angel because I’m a loving, good sport, who walks well on a leash, likes to play, cuddle, just hang out with good people, or do whatever you ask (especially if you have cheese or a hotdog to share). To demonstrate my good manners, I earned the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen certificate, the gold standard for behavior programs; my vocabulary includes words like sit, down, stay, and more. I’m an easygoing, handsome (one blue eye, one brown), 3-year-old male, 72 pounds, ready to be someone’s loyal best buddy. Are you ready, too?

My name is Rocky, but friends say I could also be called Sweetie, thanks to my charming personality. I like that, and I like them! I’m a happy guy, especially in the company of good people. That’s kind of how I was rescued. Some people were hanging out in front of their friend’s house when I just walked up and joined them. They couldn’t keep me forever, but in the three days we were together, I was gentle with the children, ages 8 through 16, showed them I was leash-trained, and obeyed “sit,” “stay,” and “come here.” They described me as “sweet, loving, and well mannered.” I’m a 3-year-old Staffie mix male, about 73 pounds, strong and super nice. How about you let me make you happy, too, by being your ever-loving sweet companion.
