Hi… my name is Tiki,

Adopted 1-22-17

When my mom went into the hospital, everyone hoped that it would be for a short time and that she’d be well enough to care for me again. Alas, no joy. Although the neighbors came to feed me for several weeks, mom finally had to admit that it’d be best if I found a new home, so here I am. I have to tell you that I was awfully lonely all by myself while she was gone (I cried every time someone came over), so I’m half-past ready to find a new person to love. I’m said to be a very sweet lady who craves attention (“dependent” is the word they used!), so if you’d like a feline that follows you everywhere, I can be your constant shadow!

Tux

Hi… my name is Tux,

Adopted July 6, 2016

I’m just a young pup, so eager to be loved, but nobody wanted me. In the nick of time, a wonderful lady rescued me from a terrible fate and brought me to TALGV. One of my hips had been injured, so my new friends here are taking care of that, plus they’re agreeing with what my rescuer said about me–I’m very loving, intelligent and a really fast learner! At 5 months, I know “sit, stay, and fetch,” am leash trained, and was well behaved with my rescuer’s family. Fun things I’d love to share with you include walks, playing with balls, and hugs. I’m a Lab/Staffie mix male, 32 pounds, black with a white star on my chest, and your love could turn my world around. Are you the one who’ll want me forever?

Hi… my name is Brutus,

Adopted 11-28-16

If you know someone who‘s just naturally friendly, then you already kind of know me because that’s my personality, too. I was found in the desert east of town; my rescuer whistled, asked if I’d like to go for a ride, and I happily joined my new friend and jumped in her car. (I was also quite grateful for a big drink of water.) Here at TALGV, my many new friends can tell you I’m a lovable, easy-going guy.   Even better, we can get together and I’ll show you myself! I’m a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, 67 pounds, and when we meet you might say, “This guy is such a great companion, I’m gonna take him home!” At least, that’s what you say in my dreams, and you can make those dreams come true!

PS That sissy pink stuff on my nose is sunscreen… they make us wear it here at TALGV.

Hi… my name is Cammie,

Adopted July 3, 2016

I’ve experienced some tough changes in my young life, but now my future looks bright! Previously, when living with a homeless person, I was struck by a car, crushing a back leg, which had to be amputated. Today, I’m well and looking for a new home! I enjoy taking long walks on my three legs, and foster mom says I’m really sweet and just want to please. I don’t chew up stuff, am totally house trained, know lots of doggie commands, and not scared by noise or lightening. Because I love people and other dogs, she thinks I’ll fit in nicely with a happy family or someone active looking for a great companion. I’m a beautiful chocolate and white 2-year-old Pointer female, and if you believe in happy endings, I’m the dog for you!

Hi… my name is Bingo,

Adopted July 27, 2016

People call me irresistible because, they say, I’m amazingly cute and loveable–but not all dogs agree. I was adopted 6 months ago, but the resident dog and I couldn’t get along, so now I’m at TALGV, watching and hoping for the wonderful someone who’ll find me here and take me home forever! I’m a tan and white Australian Terrier mix male, 8 years old and about 12 pounds, who’s something of a tennis player. Well, maybe not ready for Wimbledon but I do have lots of fun with my favorite beat-up old tennis ball. Plus, I love to play fetch, go on walks and car rides; count on me to be well behaved in the car. If you think I’m irresistible, I’m sure the feeling will be mutual, so please come see me today!

Hi… my name is Tinsley,

Adopted June 25, 2016

“A lovely dog,” is how my former people described me, and I like to think they were talking about more than just my gorgeous black, white and brown coat. They called me “sweet,” too, and said I played gently with the kids, but they couldn’t keep me after the father’s schedule changed and one of the children’s allergies increased significantly. Disappointing, yes, but I believe in a long, happy future. I’m just 1 year old, an Aussie/Shepherd mix female who’s a nice size at about 47 pounds. Being an easy-going dog, I enjoy a calm environment and going on walks is one of my favorite things (although I admit to chasing lizards on occasion). I’d love to meet you and chances are we might even love each other, so won’t you please visit today!

Hi… my name is Belle,

Adopted June 8, 2016

To be given away can be hurtful, especially when it’s not your fault. When my former people brought me to TALGV with three other family dogs, they said lots of good things about me, including that I’m gentle and tolerant with children. They said I’m a loyal, smart dog who know lots of commands—“come here,” “sit,” “eat,” “no,” and “lay down.” At 9 years old, I still enjoy lots of physical activity (I call that play) and walks with you (I’m leash trained). If all this sounds good, won’t you please come see me? I’m a beautiful Shepherd mix female, about 41 pounds, dark brown with touches of black, tan and white, and I’m holding on to the hope that someone wonderful does want a great companion like me. Could it be you?
