Hi… my name is Amy,
Adopted February 20, 2016
How did I know that a park was a good place to find help? Well, okay, I didn’t really, but that’s where I was found, and I’m glad because now I’m here, the place where I’m likely to find a safe and wonderful new home! I’m a 2-year-old Rat Terrier female, black and white with some lovely highlights of blended color (like around my eyes). Small and slender, I’m a comfy lap size, and also a lively playmate. Sometimes I’m so happy to play, I become a dancer, prancing on my hind legs. Like most Rat Terriers, I’m inquisitive and affectionate, and will be an excellent companion for someone who enjoys a fun-loving and people-loving dog like me. Please come and find me here, and take me to my forever happy home with you!

Thanks for looking at my pictures. My biography is under construction. Please stop back again to read about me or… even better… stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Kennels are open 10-2 every day.

When the shelter that I was living in closed, no one was quite sure what was going to happen to all my feline and canine friends, so we were overjoyed when we found out that TALGV would try to make room for us as a few (very precious) spaces opened up. Well we all survived the trip, and are getting settled into our new digs (and a few of us have been adopted already!), so I’m crossing my paws that I’ll be next. I’m a handsome longhaired solid white boy with glorious golden eyes that will look into your soul. Since I’m still a youngster at only a year old, I know that the many years ahead will be happier for both of us when they’re spent together!

I thought I was home forever, but then life threw us a curve. My person’s health issues meant she couldn’t take care of me any more, and so I’m back at TALGV (she adopted me here two years ago). Good thing I’m adaptable, right? Granted, I am shy, but always eager to get over the shyness because I love lots of petting and cuddling. I also like to play (if you see the orange pig, that’s my favorite toy). I’m a sweet 4-1/2-year old Fox Terrier mix female, mainly white with cute brown touches on my ears, and will just say “little” because I’m on a diet right now. My house manners are excellent, I walk well on a leash, and if you give me the chance, I’ll be your happily devoted companion for life!

I wish I could tell you what precipitated the change in my personality a while ago because I was fine with the family I lived with most of my life. At the moment, I’m being fostered with a very sweet volunteer who is real “cat whisperer,” and she has high hopes that with the change of venue, and a little a quieter life, I’ll revert to my old self one of these days. Since I’m a Maine Coon gentleman, being outgoing and friendly really is in my genes, all they need is some patience and understanding to come bouncing out again!
