My siblings and I were found abandoned in a dog food bag in the middle of a road. Thankfully, we were all okay, and oh so happy to arrive in our spacious TALGV room! Here, the volunteers take care of all kinds of puppy basics for us—good food, exercise, medical stuff, and our first lessons on how to be good puppies with people. I love playing with my siblings, and I’ve also come to really like people, too. When I see their faces at the window, I hope they’re looking for a puppy just like me: a Shepherd mix male, tan with a white blaze chin to chest. Could you be the one to give me my forever home? I’m a little dog with a big dream. Here’s my story: I was lost, an 8.6 pound, 5-month-old Rat Terrier mix female on the street, on my own. Then I saw a guy washing his car and he smiled at me. He and his wife gave me food, water, and a ride to TALGV. Here, I’ve met all kinds of new friends and we’re busy every day, playing, going for walks, and just keeping each other company. They say I’m smart, loving, and lively, and like lots of Rat Terriers, I’m an all-around great companion. And that’s where my big dream comes in. Every night, I dream about the happy day when someone takes me home to be their best little friend forever. Could it be you? Could you make my dream come true?

You know the quote from “Mission Impossible,” “…should you or any of your IM force be caught…the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions”? Well that’s sort of what happened with me! I was adopted as a kitten from TALGV and microchipped when I left, but when I was found in Sahuarita recently, my adopter disavowed any knowledge of me! That’s pretty tough to take for a sweet guy like me whose only aim in life is to be with my person (the volunteers say I’m a “wonderful, very friendly cat and a typical youngster.” I’m a young black and white boy with extraordinary topaz eyes (Topaz was my name as a kitten!), and I hope that “…your mission, should decide to accept it…” will be to make me yours!

They should be adopted together as they are very bonded. They are housebroken and crate trained and are working on leash training. At 36 pounds they are growing fast and need a family that can devote more time to their training (already know sit and stay). Mindy and Nina are healthy girls who are spayed and up to date on shots. ABBY is a playful, social, and sweet 10-month-old, purebred white and black Parti poodle who was rescued by owner who needs to go back to work and doesn’t have the time needed to train her. Trust me, you don’t even want to see my “before” pictures (actually, they’d probably give you a really good idea just how far I’ve come)! I was found in front of a home in Sahuarita, with a huge open wound on my side, a weeping sore on my mouth, and “lesser” injuries everywhere; I was one dirty, sad, and scraggly critter, I’ll tell you! Well, the weeks have gone by and I’ve had all sorts of treatments (my caregivers said, “Edgar is one of the sweetest cats we’ve ever had. Even with all his injuries and the trauma he has been through, he loves attention and rubs up against you to get it”), and am well on the road to recovery. Why not let me experience pure heaven and celebrate convalescing with you?
