Hi… my name is Ginger,

Adopted November 10, 2015

With amber waves of grain eyes that match my golden fur, you might not even think to look any further to see my personality — but that would be a mistake! A woman in Sahuarita was out looking for her errant dog (you gotta keep an eye on those critters!) when I spied her and decided to follow her home. Happily she found her dog, but sadly for me it wasn’t going to be a match made in heaven. But since I’m such a sweet, young thing, I hope it won’t be long before someone recognizes me for the treasure I am and makes me a “can’t refuse” offer to take me home, because you can be sure I’ll take you up on it in a minute!

Hi… my name is Maxx,

Adopted November 13, 2015

I was a guy in need of attention and, lucky me, I came to the right place! The attention I needed was medical for my skin issues, and you can imagine the great relief I’ve felt now that things are getting better. With medicine and special baths, my hair is growing back and I’m my happy self again. I’m a friendly, lively, West Highland White Terrier, still self-assured and hardy. As the AKC says, “The Westie loves people and makes an affectionate addition to any family. This devoted, happy and faithful dog also makes a wonderful travel companion due to its small size.” That’s all true, I can tell you, but please come see for yourself. I’m a 9-year-old, 20-pound Westie, and I just know my luckiest day will be when I meet you.

Hi… my name is Caramel,

Adopted December 11, 2015

Since my rescuers had two dogs and a bird and were allergic to cats, it was really grand of them to have kept me for two weeks anyway! But they said that during that time I was very lovable with both adults and kids, so that may have made it a smidge easier! It’s obvious that I’ve been someone’s friend once, since I’m an outgoing guy who loves being “messed with,” and it’s also evident that I’d run into a cactus or something pretty scratchy, as my nose had sores and scratches all over it, but happily they’re healing well now. Practically any cat with orange tabby in it is likely to be “outgoing,” and I’m no exception, so why don’t you make sure that I’m “going out” with you!

Hi… my name is Phelix,

Adopted February 4, 2016

Not just your ordinary spelling of my name is it? Well, that’s fitting since I’m not just your ordinary guy either! My family adopted me as a kitten, and I enjoyed living with the four young kids and their two older cats (although they were kind of duds in the run-around-the-house-and-play department!), but they had to relinquish me when they moved to base housing because they only allow two pets. So…here I am, ready made for an active home where I can enjoy doing all the charming kitten things I’m designed for. Dad said that I’m very playful (well, at 12 months, duh!) cuddly, and adore having my ears and chin scratched. I can’t think of anything more to convince you to take me home, so maybe holding me in your lap will do the trick!

Hi… my name is Pixie,

Adopted 1-15-18

Although I’m a petite girl, they’re saying I remind everyone of Iñigo (“my little love”) Montoya from The Princess Bride with my little moustache and goatee! Not a terribly feminine picture I guess, but totally charming nonetheless! I was a “teen mom” when I first arrived here and lived with a foster mom until my babies were old enough to be adopted. I then lived with a gentleman and his dog and cat for a while, but the cat and I never hit if off, so I’m back — looking for another family in need of a social butterfly to perk things up. I’m a charming, playful, lap-sitting lover, and I’ve got years ahead of me to brighten your world.

Hi… my name is Duncan,

Adopted September 14, 2016

There aren’t tons of people willing to care for feral cats, but the wonderful lady who rescued my siblings and me has been doing that for years. I think the word got out to the feline moms in her neighborhood, as they often brought her their litters, knowing that she’d see that they were safe, and so it was with me. I went to live with a big, active family for a few months, and although they said that I was lovable, gentle, and playful, their other cat often intimidated me, so sometimes my manners took a bit of a tumble. I’d like to prove that I really can be a perfectly behaved little guy, and I’ll bet in a more calm home where it’s just you and me, I’ll be just that!
