Hi… my name is Arrow.

Adopted June 13, 2015

If you know anything about herding breeds, then I probably don’t have to tell you how great I am (but I will anyway!). I love to rub against you and get tummy rubs, understand “no,” am crate-trained, walk beautifully on leash, and ride well in a car (just say “wanna go for a ride?” and I’m there!). I’m typically very athletic, so would make a great Frisbee or agility dog (you know the old “job to do” thing for us active brainiacs!). I sleep through the night and am on my way to being housetrained (pretty good for a 5-month-old huh?), love to meet new people, and will be very protective of my own when I’m in my new home. So attention all heeler lovers — I’m here waiting for you!

Hi… my name is Archimedes (aka Archie 2).

Adopted June 28, 2015

For some reason I seem to end up with people that move on and can’t take me with them! My original owner was in the military and was posted overseas, and then the family that adopted me in 2012 decided to move back east to a place that didn’t allow pets. I’m beginning to get a complex, because I’m really a great guy who loves laps and to follow you around the house, so I’m a great companion! I’m a fairly large, 6-year-old orange tabby boy, who has lived with another cat, so I’m hoping to find a quiet settled home where there won’t be any more moves that don’t include me. Seriously, I want stability in my life, and I’m hopeful you’ll provide that for to me!

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

If you’re done with the high activity “kitten thing” and are looking for a low activity, loving, “wants-to-be-petted-and-held-all-day” gentleman, then look no further! I lived with my mature family for four years and since they can no longer keep me, they felt I’d be perfect in a “retirement environment” where I can get more of the same. They said that I loved music, was mild mannered, and good with other animals. I’m not good with kids though (hey, nobody’s perfect!), but love to bask in the sun and spend all my waking hours with you. I’m an 11-year-old Russian Blue mix with a white chin and bib, and to top it all off, I come with Free Vet Care for Life. I’d say that I’m just made to order for a Green Valley life!

Hi… my name is Truffle.

Adopted January 28,2016

My siblings, Oatmeal, Gingersnap, Shortbread, and my mom, Cookie (see a “theme” here?), were living outdoors in very poor conditions when TALGV’s Outreach Program rescued us. In addition to being malnourished, we had a lot of other issues, but with the TLC (and medical attention) we’ve been getting, we’re soon to be “up and running.” The volunteers say that I’m the shyest of my siblings and need a quiet environment with a kind soul who can show me patience and affection to help me come out of my shell. I’m actually an “easy keeper” when it comes to feeding and exercise, but I just need to learn the social skills that I missed out on in early life. With your help, I know I can reach my full potential and make you proud!

Hi… my name is Ernie.

Adopted June 7, 2015

Yes, I know, some cats don’t travel well, but my siblings (Bert and Oreo) and I sure would have made an exception if our family had given it a shot when they moved to Illinois! I mean, really, after living with them all our lives, we would have bitten the bullet and made one long trip in order to stay with them in their new home. Well, anyway, they didn’t so now’s your chance to augment your life with one healthy, loving, and affectionate guy (or two or three — we all get along great)! I love carrying my toys around on the off chance you’ll toss or dangle them for me, sitting in your lap, and will love you unconditionally, so I’m hoping my great personality will win you over after just a brief tête-à-tête!

Hi… my name is Trouble,

Adopted February 6, 2016

No, I don’t live up to my name! My given name was “Boots” but my first family called me “Trouble” because I sometimes liked to unravel toilet paper rolls (I understand that that hobby isn’t totally unique to me!). After my dad died, mom couldn’t care for me alone any longer, so I came to TALGV in 2014. Another family adopted me shortly afterward, but they though I was a bit too independent for them (they said I didn’t like to be hugged or come when called — not very “catlike” things anyway!). I’m a 2-year-old declawed tabby and white boy who’s active, affectionate, curious, and loves to play with toys on strings. So if you’re looking for entertainment, a purry friend, and don’t mind a few shredded TP rolls, then I’m your guy!

Hi… my name is Curly.

Adopted July 7, 2015

I’ve heard of dogs being abandoned in the desert but never at an obedience school! I might not have been the star of the show, but I couldn’t possibly have been that bad! Well, since that day two years ago when my mom rescued me (and recently had to relinquish me because of her health), I’ve learned most of the things that I was supposed to back then. I totally love kids and people (but I still need training on getting along with other dogs — see below*), so with my outstanding people skills, excellent house manners, and penchant for laps (at 20 pounds I’m just about perfect!). I know there’s another loving home in my future, so this 3-year-old Poodle mix boy is just waiting here for that to come along!
