Hi… my name is Katie.

Adopted May 16, 2015

The people who found me named me Buttercup because I was so gosh darn cute, but after I arrived at TALGV, they discovered that I’d been microchipped, and my real name is Katie. The volunteers tried in vain to contact my owner, so here’s your chance for a totally awesome gal of your very own. My rescuers said that I was friendly, had lots of energy, and was gentle with both their kids and their little dog. Although it appears that I haven’t had a whole lot of obedience training, I do walk quite nicely on a leash, so with my willing heart and head full of smarts, being a perfectly-behaved pal should be a snap for me! I’m a pretty, medium-sized Staffie mix who’s half-past ready to begin a new life with you!

Hi… my name is Rocky.

Adopted April 24, 2015.

I’ll let my foster mom tell you about me, ‘cause I couldn’t toot my own horn any better! “Rocky is an energetic, fun-loving pup. He gets along great with two big, female dogs who weigh over 60 pounds. He is crate-trained, rides well in the car, is a good eater, and sleeps through the night. He appears to be housetrained, understands ‘no,’ loves to walk, and has no problem keeping up with the ‘pack.’ Because he’s still a teething pup, he needs to be supervised around things he might chew. He loves to explore the back yard, and doesn’t seem to be a digger. Like all puppies he’ll benefit from obedience training and exposure to lots of social settings. He seems to love everyone and everything!” What more can I say except come adopt me?

Hi… my name is Donovan.

Adopted September 2, 2015

My mom was one of those people who ended up with an awful lot of pets because she never met a stray she didn’t like! Well, I guess I put her over the top, as I’m a pretty big guy, so I’m anxious to find a new place with lots of space to “strut my stuff.” My mom said, “Donovan is a gentle giant who loves to come in the house. He’s a good watchdog and loves animals and kids. Please take good care of him!” I’m a black Lab/Staffie mix boy who will be sure to thank you every day for giving me a chance.

Hi… my name is Tater

Adopted May 29, 2015

If you’re looking for a happy, loyal, playful, and outgoing guy, your search is over! I lived with my family all my life, but my size and enthusiasm for life sometimes bowled the kids over, so they decided I might be better in an adult home where I could get my entertainment and exercise accompanying them on long walks (or runs or hikes or agility training!), long games of fetch in a big back yard, and just generally hanging out. I walk really well on a leash, adore belly rubs, know “sit,” and just generally want to snuggle up next to you at the end of the day. I’m a yellow Lab mix boy who, with love and consistent training, will be the canine companion of a lifetime!

Adopted September 27, 2015

BEAUTY is a sweet and friendly brindle and white female Boxer mix that needs a good home. Fosters rescued her recently when renters moved away and Beauty was left behind. They already have a dog so they would like her to be with a family that has more space and time for her. Beauty is a social girl and is good with kids; cats are unknown. She knows sit, down, and shake. She likes to play with toys and going to the dog park to be with other dogs her size. She is estimated to be about 2 1/2-years-old. She is spayed and is in good health. She always uses the doggy door and is leash trained but would probably benefit from use of gentle leader.

There is no adoption fee for Beauty. If you would welcome her into a loving home, please call Marilyn from 8 AM to 8 PM at 520-247-4315.

Hi… my name is Coffee.

Adopted April 12, 2015.

Even though I never lived with them, I’m great with other dogs, cats, and even kids (the neighbors came to visit a lot), so there isn’t anywhere I’d not fit in! My dad adopted me when I was just a baby and has doted on me ever since. Sadly, his health recently began to deteriorate, and he felt he could no longer give me the attention I deserved, so he decided it was time for someone else to “feel the love.” I’m a 4½ year-old coffee-colored Chihuahua girl who has impeccable house manners, does a mean “sit,” and just lives to spend time with my person. I know you’ve got a lot of size choices in canine companions here, but at 9½ pounds, you’d get a lot of “bang for your buck” with me!

Zee

Hi… my name Zee.

Adopted June 11, 2015

Sometimes the best of intentions go awry. My folks had hearts of gold and, like lots of people, just couldn’t say “no” when a stray cat arrived in their yard. After they’d accumulated 20 of us (none neutered!), they realized that they needed help finding us safe homes. So TALGV’s Outreach Program came to the rescue, and we’re here now and ready for just that — homes of our own. My mom adored me and said, “Zee enjoys her siblings, especially Bashful. She is most loving in the early morning and middle of the afternoon. She needs her ‘lap time’ every day and is very obedient and mild mannered.” Combine all that with my winning still-kittenish ways, and you’ve got one very appealing black and white package!

Hi… my name is Maurice.

Adopted April 25, 2015.

Sometimes the best of intentions go awry. My folks had hearts of gold and, like lots of people, just couldn’t say “no” when a stray cat arrived in their yard. When, after a few years, they’d accumulated 20 of us (none neutered!), they realized that they needed help finding us safe homes and medical care. So TALGV’s Outreach Program came to the rescue, and we’re here now and ready for just that — homes of our own. My mom said, “Maurice is a confident little guy who loves to be held and purrs constantly when even touched. He plays with other cats, but is happy all by himself. He is just a pleasure to have around.” What more can I add? That I’ll love you to pieces? Yep!
