Animal League News

Hi… my name is Ruby,

SINCE RUBY IS 10 YEARS OLD, SHE COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m a gentle girl with a brave little heart that’s been through a lot this year. After my dad passed away, I felt unsure of the world and sometimes wandered off looking for the comfort I’d lost. I always came home, but my owner worried something might happen to me, so she brought me here to find a new family who is home more often. While shy at first, a friendly dog roommate helped me to come out of my shell. As a canine companion, I’m the perfect mix of energy and relaxation: I love going for walks, stretching my legs with a good run, and then snuggling into a quiet, cozy spot beside you. I come with TALGV’s vet care support for life! I get along with other animals and know basic manners. Mostly, I just want to feel like I’m home again.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Bubba,

Adopted with Lisa 12-24-25

They named me Bubba, but I’m a lover, not a fighter. In fact, I’m a super friendly boy and a lap cat extraordinaire! I will not only sit on your lap, but I will also give you a hug, purr for you, and give you kisses! Our owner had to move away and hoped we (Lisa and me) could find the home we deserved. I’m bright, alert, playful and healthy. I’m a bit fussy, so just give me the dry food I like. Do you have room in your home and heart for me and Lisa – a bonded pair? We’re waiting at The Animal League.

Hi… my name is Pumpkin,

Are you looking for a new four-legged family member who’s already house-trained, won’t chew up your belongings, and doesn’t require endless amounts of training or exercise? Look no further, as I’m your girl! Ms. Manners is impressed with my impeccable house manners. For example, there is no need for me to be confined to a room or crate. I might approach the table when you’re eating, but if ignored, I’ll retreat to my bed. I loved exploring the outdoors in the safety of my foster home’s backyard. Humans? Yes, please!  I’m a social butterfly with people and enjoy playing with other dogs in a group setting. I promise though, you won’t need another dog when you have sweet-as-pie ME!

Hi… my name is Quiz,

When I moved to a new house about a year ago things were fine. But a new baby has arrived, and the baby is asthmatic, so I was given up. I am good with kids and tolerate dogs too. They say I loved attention and especially like men. Here I’m quite vocal, talking and growling depending on my mood.  I’ve had some health issues that were taken care of here and maybe once I’m feeling tip-top again I’ll be a little happier. All I ask is a warm, safe place to spend my days. I’m in the senior citizen room here so please look for me there.

CANELA is a social and handsome 4-month-old, 18-pound brindle and white hound (?) mix female that needs a good home due to rescuer’s medical condition. He is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained (asks to go out). He has some basic obedience training (knows “come” and “no”). He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Canela loves going on walks and playing with other dogs. He gets along with cats and children of all ages. He is extremely cuddly, wants to please, and loves human attention. You will be rewarded with his loyal companionship, and he just may be your “perfect dog.” There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Canela into a loving home as part of your family, please call David any day between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 720-934-0337 or text to the same number. Hi… my name is Xena,

Some dogs charge into life like it’s a parade. Me? I’m a little more cautious with new things…and new people. When my family lost their home, I suddenly found myself at TALGV, unsure of who to trust or what would happen next. At first, I kept my distance, but a kind doggie roommate has helped me remember that the world can be gentle, too. With my days as a mother behind me, I now enjoy slow walks, soft beds, and quiet company. I don’t need excitement; I just want a safe place to rest my head and finally discover what it feels like to be cared for just for me. If you’re looking for more of a gentle soul vs. Warrior Princess, I may be perfect for you!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Meteor,

Adopted 12-22-25

Yeah, my head enters the room a full three seconds before the rest of my body. People wonder if doorways need to be widened for me to fit through. In reality, the only thing “impactful” about me is my snuggle game. I came to TALGV when my family lost their home, and suddenly my whole world changed. I’m still figuring it out—new smells, new friends, and this magical thing called a “walk.” Speaking of walks, since I’m built like a tank, I sometimes steer like one, too. But I’m mastering my leash manners and impressing everyone with my progress. I’ve not been a fan of meeting other dogs thus far, but I may not have met the right one yet. If you’ve got space in your heart, I’d love to meteor-shower you with love.
