Hi… my name is Tally.

Adopted October 31, 2014.

When I arrived here as a kitten, I was so tiny I had to live with a foster mom until I was old enough to make my debut at TALGV. She said that I was one of the sweetest cats she’d ever known, and had it not been for the menagerie she’d already acquired (all rescues!), she’d have kept me in a minute. I went to live with a couple that didn’t treat me very well (and they had me declawed — which they’d promised NOT to do!), so I’m actually glad to be back at my alma mater! I’m still the sweetheart I’ve always been, so my catnaps are filled with visions of a loving home where I can start a new journey in life.

Hi… my name is Trinity.

Adopted March 14, 2015

Since there’s only so much space for our stories, you need to come to TALGV to read all the stuff my young mom wrote about me! Here’s a sampling: “Trinity loves to play, get attention, and have her ears and chin scratched. She likes it when you talk to her and loves to sleep with you (and will meow until you let her in the bedroom!), and will say ‘good morning’ to you when you wake up. She’s likes fuzzy mice, strings, and cat trees, and gets along with little dogs that don’t bite.” Oh there’s more, but you get the gist! I’m a grey and white gal who’s hoping that your dreams are all about a feline housemate who’ll share your bed at night and entertain you during the day!

Hi… my name is Bond, James Bond.

I was adopted September 16, 2014.

When I was a kitten, a Good Samaritan found me in distress on I19 and he took me into his car, gave me water, and made sure that the air conditioning was going full blast! I don’t know what would have happened if my planets hadn’t been in the right alignment! I was adopted in no time, but after three years, my mom’s allergies finally won out over my sparkling personality, so I’m “on the market” again. Dad said that I’m laid back, but still playful, friendly, and lovable with everyone, and like to sleep everywhere. I’m a delightful, declawed mix of white with tabby splotches, and have a black smudge on my nose that will win your heart. Well, you’re not going to fall in love unless you meet me, so get in your car NOW!

Hi… my name is Cane.

Adopted July 26, 2015

Cane has earned/received his American Kennel Club (AKC)  Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification.

My well-meaning family rescued me when I was three months old, but since they’d never had a dog before, raising a puppy was a lot more than they could handle and after six months finally decided I needed a more structured home where I could get consistent training and lots of attention. Well, I’m SO happy to report that now that I’ve been at TALGV for nine months that has happened in spades! I have been trained to sit, down, wait, will roll over for a treat, and have earned my Canine Good Citizen award — WAY more than just your run-of-the-mill obedience certificate! I’m a polite 18-month-old Pointer/Staffie mix boy who totally ADORES kids, and I just know that I’m going to be the loyal and loving companion you’ve always fancied.

Hi… my name is Cookie.

Adopted  December 29, 2014.

My brother, Chico, and I lived with our dad and his fiancée all our lives, but when they parted two years ago, he left us with her hoping he would be able to come for us when he got settled. That didn’t happen though, and since our mom worked long hours and was moving, she couldn’t keep us any longer. So for all you “Chihuahua people” out there, we’re both available to add a little spice to things for you. We hadn’t been getting a lot of attention lately, so we’re really hoping for a “homebody” with whom we can share our affection. We don’t “do” kids well, so an older, settled adult would be perfect. We’re 9 years old and have tons more living to do, so why not join us for the ride?

Hi… my name is Chico.

Adopted January 1, 2015.

I lived with my dad and his fiancée all my life, but when they parted two years ago, he left me with her hoping he’d be able to come for me when he got settled. That didn’t happen though, so for all you “Chihuahua people” out there, I’m a wonderfully sweet gentleman who’s available to add a little spice your life. Although the volunteers here are giving me as much attention as they can (it’s pretty crowded here, and I’m not getting as much as I’d like!), so I’m so yearning for a “homebody” with that I can lavish my affection on. I don’t “do” kids well, so an older, settled adult would be perfect. I’m 9 years old and have tons more living to do, so why not join me for the ride?

Hi… my name is Waffles.

Adopted January 4, 2015.

When you’re unceremoniously deposited on a doorstep with your newborn kittens, it’s pretty scary I’ll tell you! OK — better to be left there than in the desert, but still… Fortunately, TALGV has some wonderful volunteers who are willing to foster infant kittens (with or without their moms), so I went with one of them until my babies (Yogurt, Oatmeal, and Bagel, the “Breakfast Litter”) were old enough to be adopted. And now it’s MY turn to be in the spotlight instead of those oh-so-adorable (and rambunctious) kids of mine! I’m a sweet, love-everyone young jade-eyed tabby and white teenager, and since I’m no longer in the kitten production business, I can devote all my time and affection to just you! Doesn’t that sound like a plan?

Arrived August 27, 2014.

Hi… my name is Crayola.

Adopted November 23, 2014.

Like Moses in the bulrushes, I was left (with my three newly-born kittens) in a box on a doorstep in hopes that I’d be taken in. Thankfully that happened, and I got to spend eight weeks with a wonderful TALGV volunteer while I raised my babies, so she got to know me really well. She says that although I’m not a long lap sitter, I LOVE to be brushed, and while I don’t have a traditional purr or meow, you’ll know how contented I am by my squinty eyes and the “hissy” noise I make (don’t be fooled — they’re “happy hisses” and “satisfied squints”!). I’m a young Torbie girl with striking markings and multicolored green eyes and I’m dreaming of “hissing and squinting” just for YOU!

Arrived August 24, 2014.
