Hi… my name is Rabbit.
Adopted September 27, 2014.
As part of the “Winnie the Pooh” litter, my two siblings, Kanga, Roo, and I lived with a foster mom for a few weeks when we first arrived in July because we needed a lot of extra care at our tender ages. She said that were all very social, loved to be held and petted, and got along fine with all the other critters in her home. Well, I’ve continued that tradition now that I’m here — I’m a laid back guy who is content to watch or join in the fun — whichever option catches my fancy. I’m a young tuxedo boy who is going to turn into one handsome fella when I’m grown. But between now and then, why not take me home so you can enjoy the transformation?

I’ll bet if you know how amazing Border Collies can be, you’re wondering how a little lady like me ended up at “the pound”? Well, it’s a long story, but suffice it to say I’m glad that I’ve now been “relocated” to TALGV! I had quite an ordeal along the way, so I’m a little reserved at the moment, but I’m sure with lots of TLC and a modicum of education, I’m going to do my breed proud! I’m only a few years old, so I’m looking forward to the all years ahead I’ll be able to spend proving you made just the right decision when you took me home!

If you’re looking for a young (but not TOO young!), high-energy guy, you’ve come to the right place! I was found near Sahuarita Lake right around July 4th, so they think I may have been frightened by fireworks and got out of my yard. I’ve been hoping someone would come claim me, but that prospect seems more remote each day. But that just means that YOU have a chance to make my life complete! I’m a happy-go-lucky guy, and at a great age (10 months) for learning new stuff (the volunteers are working on that), so when you meet me, I’ll bet you’ll resolve to make me your very own “cookie.”

You know how sometimes dogs are very possessive of their owners? Well, cats are usually pretty blasé in that area, but I’m a guy that really wants my person’s attention and will let you know in no uncertain terms. Although I used to get canned food only as a special treat, it’s evolved into a daily favorite and I’m pretty adamant about getting it! (Actually, canned food is good for us as it helps keep the kidneys functioning well, so it’s not like it’s BAD for me!) I’m a chipper, lap-sitting and affectionate declawed buff tabby gentleman with a white chin, and I’d really love to meet a “cat savvy” person who knows how we “demanding of attention” felines can be, because I’m sure we can make beautiful music together for many years to come.

Exuberant, outgoing, and playful! That’s me! The nice folks who found me said, “he’s very friendly with people and dogs, and when he starts purring, he head butts. He loves to play and cuddle and is a talker when he’s loving you. He likes to sleep in bed and you’ll usually wake up to purring. He’ll make a wonderful companion and pet.” So there! The only reason they didn’t keep me was that I MUST be an only cat (I loved their dogs), so since I was last feline in, I was first out. I guess that’s only fair! I’m a handsome, orange and white tabby who will add so much pizzazz to your life you’ll wonder how you ever managed without me! Oh, and I also love watching TV!

Hi… my name is Vail.

The layoffs at the Sierrita mine have affected more than people -– we pets have our future in jeopardy too – just like what happened a few years ago with the economic downturn. My little family was caught up in that situation, so finances being tight, felt they couldn’t afford three pets any longer. Since I was not overly fond (that’s being generous!) of their other cat and dog, they figured I’d be way happier in a quiet home where I could be queen bee. I’m a fairly independent gal, but maybe that’s because I had so much competition in my home, so I’m guessing if it’s just you and me and my beloved cat tree, my personality may even outshine my beauty! Won’t you give me a chance to prove that?

Hi… my name is Tubby.
Adopted December 31, 2014.
“Tubby is awesome, loving, smart, protective, charming, famous (was on MTV), and he is my friend. I hope someone will love him like we have. He will defend his owner!” So if you’re looking for a “guard cat” (a real rarity!), I’m the perfect guy! I was madly in love with my (adult) people, but I got a little jealous when the little kids wanted their attention, so kids coming first (I know and I understand!), here I am — looking for someone else I can charm and protect! I’m an orange and white gentleman who loved playing with my cat buddy, toys, laser lights, and then just relaxing. I come with Vet Care for Life, so with that and my services as your personal protector (and friend!) what more could you want?
Tubby comes with TALGV’s FREE Vet Care for Life Program.
