Frankie

Frankie is a spunky and loyal 7-year-old, 47-pound Heeler mix female who needs a new home. She is crate trained, leash trained, and obedience trained (knows: sit, go to your bed, lay, shake, stay, wait and leave it). She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, and medical records are available. Frankie usually gets along with other dogs and children and is a great companion, but she mostly likes her own space. She does not like sudden loud noises. She likes to play with her stuffed animal and ball and enjoys lounging in the sun, going on desert strolls, rolling in the grass, going camping, and car rides. There is no adoption fee for this sweet girl.

No soldier ever overslept on my watch! I’m house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained, and I take my duties seriously: maintaining order, alerting you to any suspicious noises, and enforcing routine. Thunderstorms are my only weakness—I prefer to bunker down in a covered crate until the skies clear. I love car rides, tolerate the groomer’s nonsense, and consider myself commander-in-chief of the household. My ideal post? A quiet home with one loyal human, no other pets, and plenty of respect for my rank. Follow protocol, and I’ll be your devoted little shadow—early mornings guaranteed.

Once upon a time, a petite pup named Princess arrived at TALGV after her owner could no longer care for her. That’s me! Now I’m hoping for my fairy-tale ending. I may not wear a crown, but I do have royal manners—I appear to be housetrained, and I love my crate (my own castle!). I walk like royalty on a leash and always try to please. I can be shy at first, but once I know you, I’ll happily shower you with love. Cats? I found them interesting and tempting to chase. Other dogs? I enjoy walks with them, but I prefer to choose my own friends. What I really want is a family who’ll treasure me as much as I’ll treasure them. Adopt me and we’ll live Happily Ever After in our own Kingdom.

Originally adopted from The Animal League years ago, I’m back now since my human can no longer care for me. She and I had wonderful times together. She catered to my preference to eat yummy, canned food (Maybe I gobbled up too much; I could use portion control—couldn’t we all?) She and I had lively conversations; I can be very verbal and very friendly. I so appreciated cuddling with her, especially at bedtime. Having lived with only one human and no other pets, I prefer a quiet home where I can be your center of attention. Would you like to meet me? I’m waiting.
