I don’t know if an introduction is necessary, but just in case. I’m a handsome male Husky who’s approximately a year old. After being found, I was brought to TALGV for some TLC. I’m a very sociable boy who loves being around and interacting with people. I’m also affectionate (maybe I’d even enjoy a good cuddle)! If you don’t know already, we Huskies are very active and require exercise, both physically and mentally. I will need a secure yard, one word… “Houdini.” Now, just imagine the two of us taking nice long walks while spending quality time together. Did I mention, I walk very well on a leash? I know how to sit when told, and when asked I’ll happily shake your paw. When you’re ready to meet me… I’ll be ready to go home!

With this smile, you’d never know I came to TALGV as a shy stray. Today my volunteer friends say I’m an eager-to-please “love bug” that’s a fast learner. I’m also humbly handsome (wink). One volunteer even calls me her “boyfriend.” Why? Because I LOVE people! After all, people take me for walks and car rides, and … people have TREATS! I love treats, and I’m smart enough to know that yum-yums follow when I obey commands. Not to boast, but my obedience repertoire includes “sit,” “wait,” “stay,” “come,” and … drum roll… “leave it.” So, if you need a fur-kid to politely sit shotgun on your travels, or one who behaves on the other end of your leash, or perhaps you just need a friend, well…here I am: YOUR Amigo. Will you be mine?

It is said that deaf dogs hear with their hearts. I know that is definitely true for me! My friends here say that not only do I appear to be listening when they talk to me, but I also seem to understand what they are saying. I like just about anyone who comes to visit me here, especially when they sit with me and I can curl up to them and have my belly rubbed or my ears scratched. Several volunteers have complimented me for paying close attention to them when we are out and about, and for being well behaved on a leash. I was also introduced to the play yard and I can’t even tell you how much fun that was! I made some doggie friends and hope to meet more! Will you be my friend?
