Hi… my name is China,

Adopted May 30, 2016

China has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

When people say I’m a beautiful dog, I enjoy the attention. But even better is making that human-dog connection. It probably helps that I’m friendly, calm, and reliable. Like when we go for walks—count on me to “stop” or “heel,” and although I can trot, I’m content to just mosey if you like. Tell me “sit,” “stay,” “down,” or “shake,” and I know what to do. Toss a toy and I’ll race for it. When I was rescued, life was serious because I had three puppies. Now they have homes and I’m free to enjoy good times with you. (That could include belly rubs, right?) I’m a happy, white and brindle American Bulldog mix female, about 70 pounds, and I know we could have a beautiful future together. How about we meet today!

Hi… my name is Chester.

Adopted December 6, 2015

If I do say so myself, I’m a special kind of guy – American Bulldog and Beagle, which means I’m built a little low to the ground and very high on cute. You could say I’m the best of two worlds! I’m proud of my 48-pound Bulldog build, and my handsome brown and white ears.   And I do speak Beagle, so I hope you like the Beagle Bark.   The couple I lived with said I was ‘gentle and tolerant’ with visiting kids, and although I can be a little picky when it comes to making dog friends and might prefer to be your only canine pal, I already have a working relationship with one of the other TALGV dogs. If you and I become pals, I’ll show you my loving side with lots of kisses.  Please come visit and see how special we are together!

B B

Hi… my name is B B.

Adopted June 6, 2015

When the new baby in my home was born with a heart defect, my people understandably had to spend a lot of time at the hospital and at home caring for him, so they simply didn’t have time for a big gal like me. I lived with them for most of my life, and they said that although I was a high-energy, high-spirited girl, I loved and was gentle with their kids. A friend took me in for a few months, but the little resident terrier (who didn’t like anyone but her mom and the kids) wasn’t about to make a concession for me! So — here I am in all my beauteous glory — a smart, happy 2-3-year-old American bulldog gal who just wants a family to love! Could it be yours?

Arrived March 14, 2015

PS In case you’re curious, BB stands for Black Beauty.

Hi… my name is Princess.

Adopted March 7, 2015.

It was actually a good thing that the Sahuarita police picked me up for “vagrancy” because I was running in the middle of the intersection of Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard and Pima Mine Road, and that’s a pretty dangerous place for a canine! Since I was already spayed, I guess I belonged to someone at one time, but now I need to find another family to shower my affection on. I’m a magnificent black and white American Bulldog/Staffie mix, and I totally adore people. All I ask out of life is attention, an active family, and a place to call my own forever. That’s not too much is it?

Arrived August 12, 2014.

Hi… my name is Weezy.

Adopted January 17, 2015.

My family made a commitment to move to Colorado, and since they didn’t yet have a place to live, my “lady friend,” Lacey, and I couldn’t go along. I’ve got to be up front here and tell you that I haven’t had a lot of leadership in my young life, but boy am I willing and eager to learn! I lived with a family with lots of kids, but spent most of my time playing with them out in the yard, so I need some education in the indoor deportment department! I’m a happy-go-lucky, young American Bulldog/Staffie mix boy and for an experienced person who can provide consistent leadership, I’ll be the find of a lifetime!

Hi… my name is Baby.

Adopted January 31, 2015.

Sometimes “blended” families work out well and sometimes they don’t. Unfortunately, in my case, it was the latter, but only because the landlord wasn’t happy when I arrived to live with my dad’s new family. I lived with him (and his two small children) for two of my seven years, and he said that I was a real “people person,” so I guess that means really I love humans! He said that I know quite a few commands, am perfectly house and leash trained, and was very gentle with the kids (although I don’t do well with cats). So here I am, a lovely, mostly white, American bulldog lady whose only desire in life is to have another family that I can shower my special brand of canine love on.

Arrived April 11, 2014.
