Hi… my name is Sadie,

Adopted 11-25-25

Ever show up on someone’s porch and accidentally stay for two months? Yeah… that was me. I wandered into a kind home in Rio Rico, but it turned out I needed more room to bloom, so they brought me to TALGV to find my perfect match. At first, I was so shy I practically tried to blend into the wall. Then—bam!—I got a roommate, and suddenly I had my very own emotional support canine friend. With a new buddy by my side, I discovered people aren’t scary at all. Now I greet my human friends with full-body wiggles and happily trot out on walks with both two- and four-legged pals. I’m still figuring out who I’ll become, but one thing’s certain—I’d really love to meet YOU.

Hi… my name is Princess,

Adopted 12-4-25

Once upon a time, a petite pup named Princess arrived at TALGV after her owner could no longer care for her. That’s me!  Now I’m hoping for my fairy-tale ending. I may not wear a crown, but I do have royal manners—I appear to be housetrained, and I love my crate (my own castle!). I walk like royalty on a leash and always try to please. I can be shy at first, but once I know you, I’ll happily shower you with love. Cats? I found them interesting and tempting to chase. Other dogs? I enjoy walks with them, but I prefer to choose my own friends. What I really want is a family who’ll treasure me as much as I’ll treasure them. Adopt me and we’ll live Happily Ever After in our own Kingdom.

Hi… my name is Zola,

Adopted 6-30-25

Looking to live the big dog life in a manageable package? Look no further than me! I love to play, run, walk on a leash, and nap. I love travel (especially if a pup cup is involved) and sunshine. I play well with other dogs and enjoy life with a doggy roommate. I am confident and outgoing; I don’t bark very much, and my finder said I was well-behaved in the home. I’m pretty much everything you could ever want in a big dog, but I’m a compact 30-ish pounds. I pack a punch—of snuggles, that is! I am a ball of sunshine in a little package, and everyone says that the right family will be fortunate to have a pup as easy-going and happy as I am. Will you be the lucky ones?

Hi… my name is Buddy.

Adopted June 13, 2015

Like Superman, I can scale tall buildings with a single bound! Okay, not really, but I do like to tackle the odd fence now and again! The people who found me in Rancho Sahuarita’s Safari Park only had me for a week, but said I was gentle and tolerant with their kids (except when they tried to pinch my food and toys!), loved to sleep with them, and adored playing ball. I do need some guidance in the obedience department though, but I’m ever so willing, and want more than anything to please and to fit in, so if you take the time, your patience will be well rewarded. I’m about a year old and a delightful, 27-pound mix of Basenji and something else, and I know we’ll both be happier when I’m by your side!

Hi… my name is Amigo.

Adopted April 5, 2015.

I’m happy to report that after being found accompanying a group crossing the border in the Atascosas Mountains, I got to stay! Although the volunteers haven’t tried Spanish commands with me yet, they do say that I’m very responsive to people and curious about the world in general (well, I’m quite the traveler you know!). I walk nicely on leash now and don’t seem a bit interested in the “drama” going on around me in neighboring kennels (I’ve had enough of that in my life thank you!). My other qualities are my unique looks (shepherd with some Basenji-like traits) and wonderfully friendly demeanor. I’m super eager to learn, so it sure would be great to spend the rest of my life in “el Norte” with you!

Arrived January 17, 2015.
