Adopted 9-1-21

Lola is a sweet and smart 60-pound, 2-year-old female Boxer/ Staffie mix that needs a new home since she no longer gets along with other dog in the family. She is housebroken, crate trained, and loves to play. She enjoys long walks and is obedience trained (knows and responds to many commands). She is healthy, has been spayed, is up to date with shots, and medical records are available. Lola is somewhat shy with new people and has been okay with small children, but she needs to be an only pet. There is no adoption fee for this special girl.

Hi… my name is Dulce,

Adopted 3-21-21

You know how they say that looks can be deceiving? Well, I am a strong, muscular bulldog and boxer mix girl who may look like a prize fighter but is actually more like a gentle giant and even a bit shy. That is why they named me Dulce, which is Spanish for sweet. Just look at my soulful eyes, and you’ll understand! I like car rides and going places, and I do like to run some times. I get along pretty well with other dogs, too. They say I walk nicely on a leash and don’t pull, and that I’m a sucker for ear scratches and belly rubs. I’m really just a couch potato whose favorite place is next to her favorite someone. Now I just have to find that special someone. Is that you?

Hi… my name is  Meadow,

Adopted 2-5-21

Somehow I got lost late last year, but a kind soul brought me to TALGV. I was sick for a bit, but they took such good care of me that now I cannot wait to meet my new person or family! I am a large boxer mix who has had some basic training and I remember quite a few commands. But it’s been a while and it would be nice to have a special someone again who can help me refresh my memory. I like outings and long walks and I like to play, too. When you sit near me, I also like to cuddle and show affection and, in return for some chin scratches or belly rubs, I will even give you kisses. Why don’t you make an appointment so we can meet?

Hi… my name is Sadie,

Adopted 11-21-20

When my family moved they left me with their neighbor who, after a couple of months, brought me to TALGV. I’m   a sweet 6-year-old female brindle Boxer. I seem to be good around other dogs and children of all ages. I’m housetrained and according to my foster mom, I have good indoor manners. I also know the commands sit, shake, and come. I can be very playful but still enjoy just relaxing in the warmth of the sun. I’m good on a leash and look forward to going on walks. I don’t like loud noises, but who does? I’m an affectionate gal and I really love attention. Overall, you might say I’m move-in ready. If you are interested in a lovable, intelligent lady, please make that important appointment so we can meet.

Hi… my name is Princess B,

Adopted with Creed 2-28-21

My brother, Creed, and I were returned to TALGV after twice escaping over a 6-foot fence. I’m a 5-year-old female Boxer and I’m gentle and enjoy being around children of various ages. I also enjoy the companionship of other members of the house. I can use the doggie door and I’m crate trained and ask to go out. I sit when asked and understand the word “no.” I’m leash trained and enjoy going for walks, but I’m not allowed to chase rabbits or javelina. I‘m not allowed to chase cats either, so a cat-free environment would be best. I obviously need a secure enclosure that I can’t climb over and if you have this, please call for an appointment to meet me. I’m certain you will be happy you did!

Hi… my name is Creed,

Adopted with Princess B 2-28-31

My sister, Princess B, and I recently returned to TALGV after we jumped over a 6-foot fence, twice. I’m a 5-year-old male Boxer who’s gentle and tolerant around children of different ages and I love playing with toys. I’m good on a leash, but I need a strong handler. I can use a doggie door I’m crate trained and also ask to go out. I’m a good companion to people with whom I share my life. I sit when requested and if I jump while playing, I respond to “no.” There seems to be one thing that I absolutely won’t tolerate, that is those of the feline persuasion. If you have a secure enclosure that I can’t climb over, please call for an appointment to meet me.

Hi… my name is Snickers,

Adopted 8-31-20

I am medium-size boxer girl and that’s a water bowl you see me playing with in those pictures! I got bored with the same old rubber balls and fake bones, so I tried the bowl. It makes way more noise! Well, that may have tipped you off to the fact that I’m kinda energetic. I especially like to play with people, but I play nice, even when I get excited. As a young’un, I still need to learn stuff—like what’s okay to play with and what’s not and how to tell you when I need to go potty—but I am eager and willing! Do you have some time to teach me how to be the greatest dog ever? ‘Cause I’m destined for that for sure! I just need a little help getting there!

Hi… my name is Phishy,

Adopted 10-18-20

My adopter returned me after only a month because, even though I’m leash trained and good on walks, he wanted a dog that would enjoy LONG walks with him. The problem was that dog wasn’t me, since I’m not what you could consider a “marathon” walker. But that’s okay, because other than that, he had nothing but good things to say about me! He said I’m housetrained and ask to go out (I can also use the doggie door), and I know how to sit and stay. He did mention that I’m a lover, a good sleeper, and an all- around good boy. If you’re in the market for a great companion, one that’s happy to go on average walks, please call TALGV and find out if we’re that perfect fit.

Hi… my name is Dallas,

Adopted 5-25-20

Note: Dallas comes with Vet Care Support for Life

Wouldn’t you love to meet an active and lively 10-year-old bundle of wagging tail and loving kisses? The thing you will really notice about me, after my wagging tail and brindle coat, is my bright blue eye and then the brown one. Its so pretty people stare at me and make me uncomfortable. I’d prefer your love so I can give you my undivided attention, show you my basic commands, and wag my tail at about 90 mph. Get a little closer and I will shower you with kisses. My handlers say I am awesome, sweet, loving, and very responsive. I really like it here, but a special human of my own would be even better. Did I mention I come with Vet Care for Life? Let’s meet and explore the possibilities.

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

Wouldn’t you love to meet an active and lively bundle of wagging tail and loving kisses? I’m a handsome 8-year-old brindle boxer mix overflowing with love. My foster parents believe I’m a perfect indoor dog! They say: “Jax is the kindest, obedient, loving furbaby. He barks rarely and loves walking and car rides. Jax’s owner will hit the jackpot!” My handlers say I’m a joy to work with. I like other dogs, especially my mother, Dallas. Show me treats and I’ll be your best pal, eager for whatever you have in mind. The important thing that’s missing to me is my special human to love. I’m looking for someone to have adventures with; maybe that’s you. Did I mention I come with Vet Care Support for Life? Let’s meet and explore the possibilities together.

Hi… my name is Chato,

Adopted 2-27-20

I was adopted 2 years ago after I lost my left hind leg in an automobile accident in Mexico. Don’t be concerned; I get   along very well without it. My Mom brought me back to TALGV because our family and home situations have changed, and it is impossible for her to keep me. I’m a sweet, affectionate, and handsome 4-year-old male Boxer mix. I know the commands “stay,” “leave it,” and “wait.” I walk well on a leash, know how to use the doggy door, have good house manners, and I don’t bark without good reason. I love people and love to play; I don’t love cats. Please come in and visit, and if you are looking for that special dog like me, why not just adopt ME?
