Like the other dogs, I’m here through no fault of my own. Three years ago, my littermate and I were adopted as pups. We had a wonderful life! Then something changed and my family had to move to one of those places that doesn’t allow dogs. Why do such places exist? How boring! So, I am back at TALGV and trying my best to catch the attention of shelter visitors. While I’m a little shy, I do enjoy meeting people and am friendly and polite with other dogs. I obviously have experience living in a home and can easily learn new routines my new family would have. What do you say? Does your family need a four-legged companion like me? I hope so! My journey brought me back to TALGV after an adoption two years ago, but my many friends can vouch for what a gem I am. If you give me time to get to know you, my devotion will have no limits: I’m all in! I adore playing with toys, especially squeaky ones and I’m a pro at fetch (no destruction, I promise). I like jumping in my very own pool to cool off on warm days. As your walking buddy, I have excellent leash manners and I’m cool walking with other well-mannered dogs. House-trained? Absolutely! I even mastered the doggy door. Despite a past foot injury that left me with a unique look, it doesn’t slow me down one bit. My handsomeness is only exceeded by my charm. Come see for yourself!

Life can be lots of fun when you’re an Australian Cattle Dog like me! Blessed with boundless energy, I’m a smart and loyal dog, who finds my people easy to love. I can run like the wind and enjoy lots of lively play, but my favorite thing is being with someone who loves me back, whether we’re going for long walks, playing ball or frisbee, or I’m curling up at your feet. I will ask to go outside, have learned to sit, stay, and fetch (especially with treats), and have been crate trained. My TALGV friends say I’m an exceptionally sweet dog, but I do not get along with cats. You can also call me a Blue Heeler—an especially beautiful Blue my friends say—but my biggest hope is that you’ll call me yours.

As much as my owner loved me, she had no choice but to find me and my other adopted “siblings” new homes. My “mom” had taken me in after being found in the desert covered with cholla. Now because of her love, she has trusted the good people at TALGV with my care while waiting for my new home. I’m an approximately 5-year-old female Heeler mix who walks well on a leash. I’m a little timid and would probably do better in a home without young children, and definitely no cats! I have a lot of love to offer if you’re willing to be patient while I get to know you. My mom’s request…love me as she has. If you have room in your heart (and your home), I’d love to meet you!

Once upon a time, three young dogs were found all alone in a desert wash. I was one of those dogs, the 18-month-old male, and even I can’t tell you how we got there. Let’s just say we were lost but lucky because a kind person found us and brought us here. The two females in our trio already have been adopted, and I admit to feeling lonely right now. Oh, I have lots of new TALGV friends. We go on walks, they feed me, keep me company, and are patiently helping me become more confident. I’m a 24-pound Heeler with a beautiful black coat and speckled paws, quietly dreaming of life as a happy, carefree dog in a wonderful place called home.
