Hi… my name is Candy,

Adopted 5-21-17

Candy comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

If you’re looking for a “true” rescue story, then lend an ear to the tale I have to tell about my two friends Dreidl, Claus, and me because we’re shining examples of what a difference a little (well, a LOT!) of attention, care, and good food can make! We were rescued on Sahuarita Road when a Good Samaritan stopped, opened his car door and we all gratefully piled in. We each had serious cases of mange, were undernourished, frightened, and were in urgent need of care. Well, that was before Christmas, and after many weeks of that loving care, we’re all turning into gentle, laid back dogs who want nothing more in life than safe, loving homes where we can strut our new stuff! Oh, and  we come with TALGV’s Free Vet Care for Life, too!

Arrived December 20, 2014.

Hi… my name is Dazzle.

Adopted December 18, 2014.

Oh, come on now, let me live up to my name! I was found with my sister, Razzle (who found a home in jig time), wandering on La Cañada Drive in Sahuarita, and after five days of hopeful searching, reluctantly conceded that we’d probably been abandoned. He said that we seemed like “very nice, calm dogs” that just needed homes, attention, training, and most of all, love. The volunteers say that I’m still very puppy-like (well, I’m only about 4 months old!), energetic on my walks (but learning better “technique”), and that I love people and other dogs (especially PLAYFUL dogs!). I’m an intriguing mix of hound and something else wonderful, so let’s get together and move on to the business transforming me into “Miss Perfect.”

Hi… my name is Crystal.

Adopted December 2, 2014.

I can tell you I am one happy camper to be here! A kindhearted woman found me in Elephant Head eating plastic and cardboard. It was obvious that I’d recently had puppies, and since I had severe bite marks they assumed I gotten them defending them from predators (sadly my babies were nowhere to be seen). I was so exhausted when I arrived, that I slept for two days! Well, my wounds have been treated and I’m on my way to healing, so I can rest easy now knowing that the volunteers will make sure I find a family that can shower me with affection to help me forget my ordeal. I’m a sweet hound/heeler mix, and I sure am looking forward to my new lease on life!

Hi… my name is Nova.

Adopted November 9, 2014.

My family adopted me a year ago from TALGV after I’d come in because I was jumping the fence to go exploring (well, I was left in the yard all day so was just looking for some fun!). My new people had me for a year, but since they were fostering several really young children they were worried that my “lust for life” was a bit too overwhelming for them. I’m a hound/shepherd mix guy who is affectionate, outgoing, and want to both give and get lots of love. I’m perfectly house-trained, walk well on a leash, and love squeaky toys (and kids!). I need some work on curbing my enthusiasm around people, but then I’ll be a companion with whom you’ll want to spend all your time (both indoors and out!).

Arrived September 13, 2014.
