Hi… my name is Winston,

Adopted 9-3-22

It’s bad enough when people throw litter from their cars, but it’s carrying things too far when they throw out an innocent puppy. That would be me, Winston! Thankfully someone saw what happened and came to my aid. When it was decided I was okay, I was invited to stay with the nice people until they brought me to TALGV. They said I’m a very sweet boy who got along with their cats and small dogs. I even sat when told (sometimes). After all, I’m only about six months old! Naturally I’ll need training to help me become a well-mannered adult. Right now I’m just a wiggly, playful, happy pup that would really appreciate a forever home, filled with love. Why don’t you visit  and spend some time getting to know me. You won’t be sorry!

Hi… my name is Boscoe,

Adopted 7-14-22

I wasn’t invited, but for some reason I thought it would be okay for me to join another dog (and owner) on their walk. I followed them all the way to their home. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay with them, so I was brought to TALGV. I’m a handsome young Hound mix, about 3 years old. A volunteer recently stated emphatically that I’m a “really good dog.” She said I walk well on a leash and only tug occasionally in order to investigate a new aroma. I’m curious about other dogs but don’t react to them. I’m hoping that once you catch a glimpse of me and meet me in person, you won’t be able to ignore the fact that we were meant for each other. Then the only person I’ll ever follow home is YOU!

Hi… my name is Candy,

Adopted 5-14-22

My name, which was given to me when I was found, usually refers to someone “sweet.” That’s an adjective I’ve heard from the volunteers many times since arriving here. I’m an approximately 1-year-old Hound mix lady, who was found strolling down Nogales Highway near Quail Creek. I’m a friendly girl that loves meeting and associating with people. I walk well on a leash, and understand the meaning of  the words “sit” and “stay.” When passing other dogs I glance their way (just being curious), then happily continue on my walk. Imagine what an exciting experience it could be, just getting to know each other. Why don’t you make an appointment to meet me, but please be prepared to take me home with you. I believe I could be that perfect family addition you’re looking for!

Rocco is a sweet and soft-natured 10-year-old, 75-pound Catahoula/Hound mix male who needs a new home.He is crate trained, has good leash manners, and is obedience trained (knows “sit, ”stay,” “come,” “touch” and “shake”). He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Rocco gets along with other dogs and would be best with older children; cats are unknown. He loves his soft ortho bed and only needs a short daily walk. He would be a great companion for a low-key senior. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. If you will welcome Rocco into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 10 AM and 7 PM at 520-367-5186.

Hi… my name is Mollie,

Adopted with Dollie 3-10-22

My sister Dollie and I are two adorable, fun-loving, and playful puppies. When we were outside all alone, a nice person took us in and cared for us for a few weeks. She taught us to tell her when we had to go potty and how to be good when left alone. We got along well with her children and even with her kitties. But the older dog who lived there didn’t care for us, so she had to bring us to TALGV. The volunteers say that we are really sweet, walk well on leashes for pups so young, and that we like everyone, showing our affection with lots of doggie kisses. Now we are looking for our forever home and if we could stay together, that would be totally awesome!
