Chews is a gentle and social 38-pound, 8-year-old male Terrier mix that was found a few months ago and now needs a new home. He is housebroken, uses doggy door, knows basic commands, loves car rides, and walks easily on leash. He likes other calm dogs, cats, and older children. Chews is neutered and is up to date with shots (medical records available). He is calm, sweet, and quiet. There is no adoption fee for this special boy.

A litter of 6 pups is where I came from. My 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and mom were all relinquished because 7 was too many for our previous owner. We pups were only a couple months old, and we were shy at first, but became curious enough to develop our social side with many volunteers. At The Animal League we soon learned how to walk on leash plus other important dog lessons, but further training with you will be a big help. If you are looking for a loveable lab-mix puppy to be by your side for a long time, come by to see me.

Truffles

When you hear my name, you may think of truffle chocolates. My short chocolate coat is beautiful, but even more captivating are my handsome amber eyes that speak without barks. I was found at a construction site and have skills that make me a good companion. I am good on a leash for many walks with you. I am a cooperative quick learner who will benefit from training by you! Since I am only one year old, I do get curious. I am also quite calm and friendly in a pleasingly gentle way and am always up for cuddle times. Some volunteers describe me as “exceptional” so please come to see how “exceptional” I am.

I’m an 8-year-old hound dog who’s got a cowboy name and a creampuff heart! See the pictures of me with my head resting on somebody’s arm or lap? I don’t deny my lovin’ ways! I’m not partial to small dogs, but I once lived with 6 dogs of all kinds. I’ve never been around kids, but I make friends with big people real easy, especially the dog-savvy ones. Pet me, and I melt like butter in a fry pan. Yep, I’m pretty laid back, except for two things that get me riled. I don’t take kindly to anybody or anything comin’ near my food. And if I have a pain somewhere, just don’t go touchin’ it. Truth is, I’d like to sit by your side, put my paws up, and feel grateful to be home.
