My name tells part of my story because for six happy years, my person and I were best buddies. His death turned my world upside down. And although his widow was good to me—putting down throw rugs so I could walk on the shiniest tile—she’s moving out of state, so I’m here all alone. Thankfully, my sweet, easy-going nature has helped me make friends. I love our playtime and daily walks because I always enjoy the company of gentle people. Sometimes they say words I know, like “sit,” “wait,” and “jacket,” (which apparently means “put your foot in the halter”), but my greatest talent is being a buddy. I’m an 18-pound Chihuahua/Dachshund mix male, and at 8 years old, I could be your great buddy for a long time to come.

Bambi

Moving here was a big surprise to my sister Oreo and me. We’d been with our people four years, ever since we were puppies, but when they moved out of state and couldn’t take us, we no longer had a home. Needless to say, that’s a scary predicament. When we arrived at TALGV, we just barked at strangers and huddled together. But things are getting better. The Den Mothers help a lot. They’re the volunteers who visit us regularly in The Den—the room here for little dogs. With their encouragement, we’re showing more of our true selves—bright, vivacious and spunky. We’re Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix females; I’m the tan and white one, 11 pounds, and if you could love a lively, attentive little dog like me, I’d be proud to be your devoted companion.

Biscuit is a playful and social 14-pound, 3-year-old male Cairn terrier mix that needs a new home due to family emergency. He is housebroken, crate trained, and loves walking on leash. He is okay with other dogs, cats, and children. Biscuit has been neutered, has a microchip, and is up to date with rabies shot (other shots needed). He is friendly to all, very smart, and loves to play with his rubber toys. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. If you will welcome this sweetheart into a loving home as part of your family, please call Ely between 8 AM and 8 PM at (number removed at request of owner).
