Very late one night—about 1:30 a.m.—my dog friend, Smokey, and I were found running on Duval Mine Road. We didn’t know where we were going, so when we ended up here, safe and sound (courtesy of the police), it was a great relief. I’m a Heeler mix male, about 50 pounds and 18 months old, and I love making new friends. (Maybe that’s how I ended up with Smokey, although we don’t know.)
