Hi… my name is Champagne,

Adopted 1-20-17

My seven siblings and I were found when we were tiny babies living in an empty lot. We had each other to cuddle and stay warm with, and we always had our mom. She’d been keeping us safe, feeding and nurturing us, all by herself. Then, suddenly, we were rescued! A man stopped for mom and, of course, she led him to us. Today, we’ve been living at TALGV long enough to learn that life can be cozy, happy, fun, and sometimes crowded because my siblings and I are all growing! Mom is a Heeler/Lab mix, so we are, too. I’m one of the boys, tan with white touches, and if you can give me the patience and time we puppies require, I’ll do my best to grow into a dog you’ll love forever!

Hi… my name is Cody,

Adopted 1-14-17

Once I find my place in the world, I’m going to stretch my little legs, snuggle in, and be happy forever! My past is unclear—I was “dropped off,” and that’s about all we know. But that was yesterday. Today, I’m doing my little guy best to find the person who needs me. I think of it that way because I’ll be giving my family lots of love and smiles. Sometimes people enjoy just watching me run around, probably because of my Bassett-like shape, which does look awfully cute on a walk (and I’m good on the leash). One thing for sure: I’m a champion cuddler. I can position my 35-pound body right next to you and will gladly roll over for belly rubs. How about we find each other—the sooner, the better!

Hi… my name is Alli,

Adopted 3-14-17

My rescuers found me in their own front yard. I saw them coming and, thankfully, they spotted me—cold, covered in grass, and shaking. Yes, I was scared, but being rescued was far better than being lost! And now I’m safe, able to relax and get ready for the next destination on the road to a happy life: a home! I’m a little 4-year-old white Poodle mix female, and on arrival here, I needed some medical attention. They told me not to worry—lots of us need care now and again, so I’ve been grateful for that. And you know what? It feels like love—people who watch over you and are happy just to see you. That’s what I want to give in return. Will you let me give my heart to you?

Hi… my name is Stella,

Adopted 2-15-17

There’s the song “Stella by Starlight,” the book Stellaluna, the famous movie cry “STELLA!,” and then there’s me—Stella, the beautiful chocolate Hound mix female. I’m 15 months old, about 50+ pounds, and was much loved in my former home, but they soon found they were too busy for me. In our short time together, they said, I was very smart, friendly, and playful; “absolutely a sweetheart” and “very gentle” with the kids,” “warmed up nicely to our cat,” and walked well on the leash, although I do need a strong person on the other end. I like squeaky toys, will sit for treats, am crate-trained, and if you’re my person, I’ll always try to please you. Best of all, I have a very loving heart. Will you let me give it to you?

Hi… my name is Bubbles,

Adopted 1-22-17

In an empty lot, surrounded by bushes and trash, I gave birth to eight puppies! Thankfully, I was able to provide for them, but had to forage for my own food. That’s what I was doing on an I-19 exit when a man saw me, stopped and came back, and I led him to my babies. He was like our angel, putting us in his car and bringing us here—taking us from lost to loved! The volunteers say I’ve continued to be a wonderfully devoted mom while my little ones grow and play. And I’m growing, too! I arrived terribly underweight, but now enjoy lots of nutritious food every day. I’m a Heeler/Lab mix with an interesting past, ready for a carefree, happy future in which I give my sweet devotion to you!

Hi… my name is Atticus (aka Rotini),

Adopted 1-7-17

Our family is splitting in two and their new places won’t have room for my sister Q-tip or me. It’s a big change, but a big chance, too. Here, I could meet my forever best friend—one or more—and start sharing the good life with them! I’m 11 months old, a friendly, loyal Heeler mix who has developed some excellent qualities. My former owner said I was “great with cats,” (I hear not everyone can say that), know some important commands, and love to cuddle. But I’m most interested in you—or let’s say “us,” because I think we could have lots of fun and enjoy life just by being together. A handsome black and white male, about 55 pounds, I’m ready to be your devoted companion for a long, happy time.

Hi… my name is Q-tip (aka Dixie),

Adopted 1-7-17

When I was first adopted, I was part of a litter found in the desert and weighed just 8 pounds! Today, I’m a 55-pound, 17-month-old who’s learned a thing or two. Unfortunately, my family is splitting up and their new places won’t have room for my buddy Atticus or me. (We’ve lived together for the last year or so.) But I’m optimistic! After all, it’s a good thing to have some training under your belt, right? I know some important commands, and my former owners said I was good in the house even when they were gone. They described me as a “playful, loyal cuddler,” and said I was “great with cats!” Brindle and white, I’m a Heeler mix female who hopes my next home is my forever home with someone wonderful like you!

Hi… my name is Puma,

Adopted 7-8-17

Puma has achieved his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate!

I was a stray dog, but the volunteers quickly changed that description to “hidden gem.” They say I’m a special guy for lots of reasons—I’m sweet, easygoing, love people, and I’ve demonstrated by excellent manners by earning my Canine Good Citizen certificate. And sometimes I’m quiet, which is often because I’m dreaming of a place called “home”—a happy place, where I love my someone and they love me back. I’m 18 months old, tan and white, about 50 pounds, and one of the most adorable, fun-loving guys you could hope to meet. As you’d expect, I’m good on a leash, great company for people (but not for cats), and all I really want to be is yours. If you can make my dream of “home” come true, please come meet me soon!

Hi… my name is Rosemary,

Adopted with Thyme 2-10-17

I’m such a calm and sweet dog, you might be surprised at what I’ve been through. When found with Thyme—the Lab mix who remains faithfully by my side—I was injured, probably from an attack by a larger animal. My multiple wounds and fracture required medical treatment. So how do I stay sweet-natured and optimistic? Because my big, strong heart tells me my future holds fun and happiness with someone kind and wonderful like you. Thyme and I remain devoted to each other and want to share our home always, so please love us both! If you do, we’ll double the love for you in return! I’m a 4-year-old Boxer mix female, 44 pounds, and Thyme is a 1-year-old Lab mix male, 41 pounds, both eager to start the good life with you!

Hi… my name is Thyme,

Adopted with Rosemary 2-10-17

If the eyes truly are the windows to the soul, I hope mine show you all the goodness in me. I like people, but I’m cautious when first we meet. That’ll be okay if you’re patient, able to see the loving, devoted companion I’ll be once we’re friends. Another dog, Rosemary, and I were found and brought here together; she was injured and I stayed loyally by her side through it all, a sweet and gentle friend. We’re both feeling good now, able to relax and have some fun. I’m a tan 1-year-old Lab mix male, about 41 pounds, and Rosemary is a beautiful 44-pound Boxer mix. We’re very bonded and want to stay together, so what do you say? Can you give both of us a chance and let us love you forever!
