Hi… my name is Krissy,

Adopted August 13, 2016

My siblings and I were born right here at The Animal League! When Mom was expecting, volunteers guessed she’d have three babies, maybe four, but on May 20th—12 days after Mother’s Day—she gave birth to six of us! Yay for Mom! Of course, back when we were brand new and really tiny, eating was the biggest activity of the day. And it’s still important, but now we’re playing, too—wrestling, running and tumbling—and exploring the great big world. (When you’re our size, everything is great big!) I’m one of the girls, mainly tan with white markings, and I’d love to meet you up close and personal. Be prepared, though, because we may just find each other irresistible and that could lead to a long, happy life together. Can you visit today?

Hi… my name is Precious,

Adopted August 31, 2016

My name, Precious, tells you what I dream of being to someone wonderful. My previous person gave me to a stranger in a parking lot because he couldn’t take care of me anymore. He said neighbors had been feeding me, but they wouldn’t do that much longer and so I needed a new place. My hopes are high that it will be the most special kind of place—a home full of love, where I’ll fit right in. The volunteers say that wish will come true because I’m a really sweet dog, eager to please and easy to love. At 2 years old, with a soft chocolate-brown coat and just under 50 pounds, I’m a young, fun-loving female, who’ll gladly answer to any name you choose as long as you call me yours forever!

Hi… my name is Muchi,

Adopted 2-4-17

Muchi comes with FREE Vet Care for Life!

There used to be a TV show about women of a certain age who found a lot of pleasure in life. I could be their dog. I’m in my golden years, too, and still know how to enjoy every day. The woman who rescued me from a Sahuarita road—the kindest of strangers, who reached out to help me when I was lost—said she found me to be very sweet and gentle. The volunteers here agree with that description; I say it’s easy to be so agreeable because I truly love the company of people. When you’re lucky enough to have a comfortable place to stay and a caring friend by your side, life is good. I’m a black and tan Doberman mix female, who’d love to spend every golden day with you.

Hi… my name is Fortune,

Adopted November 16, 2016

One hot day I was rescued from the desert by a man who saw me walking alone, clearly lost. He said I was friendly and willing to get into his truck—you bet I was! Imagine my relief to be in the company of that good man, who took care of me for two weeks while trying to find where I belonged. He said I got along with his Rottweiller, enjoyed walks, and alerted to strangers. Eventually, he brought me here, where I’ve continued to gain weight (I was too thin when found) and made lots more friends because, volunteers say, I’m a fun guy with personality-plus! I’m 2 years old, a Shepherd mix male, now about 50 pounds, who just wants to be part of a happy home. Could it be with you?

Hi… my name is Boots,

Adopted July 29, 2016

Boots comes with Free Vet Care for Life

My dad and I have some good years under our belts, but life’s journey twists and turns. Dad’s at the VA now, and TALGV is helping me find my new home, too. I’m 10 years old (receiving FREE vet care for life!), with some white hairs on my muzzle, which just mean I’m a gentleman of experience. Oh sure, I remember the fun of being a pup, but I’m very happy being me right now, too. I still like to play and do happy dog things, especially if I have a person to do them with me. We can go for a walk, just hang out, sleep in the sun—whatever you like. I’m a nice, friendly, mellow fellow—a black Lab mix who knows how to love. Will you let me love you?

Hi… my name is Andy,

Adopted 11-22-16

Andy comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

My sister Amber and I have a lot in common. (I call her “sister” because we’re from the same home; we may not have been from the same litter, but we’re definitely family.) Amber and I are both small dogs (I’m a charcoal and white Terrier mix male), we’re both 13 years old, and we both come with FREE vet care for life! Best of all, the most wonderful thing we share is l-o-v-e. We love each other and we loved our human mom. But Mom had to move to a nursing home. (By the way, wouldn’t it be great if every nursing home had a dog wing?) So now, Amber and I are being well looked after in foster care. If you’d like to know more about us, please give TALGV a call.

Hi… my name is Pippa,

Adopted July 14, 2016

You could say I did need assistance when I wandered into an assisted living facility with my dog buddy Pierre, and soon we were at TALGV. Lots of good things have happened here—they gave me a new collar because my old one was too tight, trimmed my nails, and made me feel welcome and cared for. My friend Pierre then had the best news—he was adopted! I understand why—he’s very cute and friendly. My friends say I’m cute and dear, too, so my hopes are high. Must admit I’m shy, and my charm is the quiet, cuddly kind, but maybe that’s the type of friend you’d like? I’m a 9-year-old Doxie mix female, 11 pounds, and if your heart is open to a loving little dog, I’m here waiting for you.

Hi… my name is Elsa,

Adopted August 21, 2016

When I was found with Anna, my sweet friend (and possibly sister), all we had was each other. We were soaking wet and dehydrated. Our finder took us to a small ranch, where they kindly fed us, took care of us, and discovered lots of my good qualities. I “pick up everything very fast,” they said, was “awesome with kids,” (they have five) and know lots of commands. As a bonus, they saw me smile when happy, such as when they came home every day. I got along with most of the other animals—horses, dogs, cattle—but didn’t do well with the family cat and, in fairness, the cat was there first. So now I’m here, a sweet, loving, playful 2-year-old American Bulldog mix female, who’d be happy forever as your best friend.

When I was found with Elsa, my sweet friend (possibly sister), all we had was each other. We were soaking wet and dehydrated. Our finder took us to their small ranch, where they kindly fed us, took care of us, and discovered my many good qualities. I’m “extremely smart and learn fast,” they said, “a very sweet dog who will love you forever,” and knows lots of commands (like “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “no”). I was “gentle and tolerant” with their children and got along with most of the other animals—horses, dogs, cattle—but didn’t do well with the family cat and, in fairness, the cat was there first. So now I’m here, a sweet, loving, playful 2-year-old American Bulldog/Staffie mix female, who’ll be happy forever if you let me be your best friend.
