I’ll share the sad part of my story first: I was abandoned, left behind when my person moved. And there may have been more cause for sadness before that, but I’m okay now—safe and cared for at TALGV—so let’s move on quickly to the good stuff. The walks, cozy blankets and soft bed here are great, and best of all I love the kindnesses—the gentle touches and sweet words. They tell me to say more about myself, so here goes: I’m 5 years old, a luscious cream color with charcoal highlights, female, and little. I hope you like little, cause I can’t really get bigger. And the main thing: I’ll give my whole heart to the person who adds true love and kindness to my life forever. Please say that’s you.

I’m just a young pup, so eager to be loved, but nobody wanted me. In the nick of time, a wonderful lady rescued me from a terrible fate and brought me to TALGV. One of my hips had been injured, so my new friends here are taking care of that, plus they’re agreeing with what my rescuer said about me–I’m very loving, intelligent and a really fast learner! At 5 months, I know “sit, stay, and fetch,” am leash trained, and was well behaved with my rescuer’s family. Fun things I’d love to share with you include walks, playing with balls, and hugs. I’m a Lab/Staffie mix male, 32 pounds, black with a white star on my chest, and your love could turn my world around. Are you the one who’ll want me forever?

Major changes at home meant there was no one there but me. I’d been alone for some time, lonely and without the help a dog needs from a person, so I was glad to come back to TALGV for the company, the care, and the chance to find a happy new home that will last forever! At just 10 pounds and 2-1/2 years old, I’m little—a tan Chihuahua mix male (feel free to make a guess at mixed with what because I really don’t know)—but my personality is big. I’m an outgoing kind of guy, full of energy and playfulness, who notices people and loves their attention. If you and I get together, I’m sure we’ll have lots of fun and be real good for each other. To be given away can be hurtful, especially when it’s not your fault. When my former people brought me to TALGV with three other family dogs, they said lots of good things about me, including that I’m gentle and tolerant with children. They said I’m a loyal, smart dog who know lots of commands—“come here,” “sit,” “eat,” “no,” and “lay down.” At 9 years old, I still enjoy lots of physical activity (I call that play) and walks with you (I’m leash trained). If all this sounds good, won’t you please come see me? I’m a beautiful Shepherd mix female, about 41 pounds, dark brown with touches of black, tan and white, and I’m holding on to the hope that someone wonderful does want a great companion like me. I bet you can tell just by looking at me that I’d be so happy to find a forever friend. Maybe that’s what I was trying to do when my rescuer spotted me in her neighborhood. When she realized I was lost, she brought me to TALGV, where my search for a special someone (or maybe someones) continues. The volunteers tell me my day will come because I’m real cute—from my happy grin to my attention-getting ears (always a fun topic of conversation!)—and, most importantly, because I’m especially sweet, something that comes naturally to me and people really like. I’m a 1-year-old Staffie mix male, mainly gray with white markings, about 49 pounds, and full of hope that you’ll say I can be yours. Won’t you please let me love you forever!

You may spot me at TALGV even without knowing my name. When things get very busy, sometimes even with noise and commotion, I remain calm and quiet. Oh, I’m interested in everyone who goes by, but I’m often the most peaceful little dog you could hope to see. I’m an 8-year-old adorable Beagle/Pug mix female, a little chubby at 34 pounds, who looks up at you with my big brown eyes as if to say, “do you want to go for a walk?” or maybe “would you like to share a quiet moment or cuddle?” The person who found me in Rancho Sahuarita said I was very good with kids, good in the house, and could smile! I’m ready to give my most special smile to you, on the day you take me home.
