Hi… my name is Cha Cha,

Adopted 9-13-23

Super-cute, smart, and sociable girl seeks dance partners who love to go on walks, play, have cuddle time and just have all-around fun. I arrived at TALGV with my brothers who’ve since been adopted, but for some unknown reason, I’m STILL waiting for my forever home. I’m a husky/staffie mix, which means I’m naturally adorable, eager to learn and live to make people happy. I love other dogs and have had several playmates – who all seem to get adopted. Maybe I’m a good-luck charm who helps others find their new family. Now it’s my turn. I just KNOW my people are out there somewhere. Why not meet me on the dance floor and let me show you my fancy foot work and find my way right into your heart… and home forever.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Glory,

Adopted with Honor 9-10-23

Once upon a time there were three puppies who came to TALGV together, and I was one of them! Volunteers said I was friendly even on that first day, probably because I’d been around people before. But living indoors was new to me and I’m loving it! Oh, I’m an active pup who loves playing outside, but having my own comfy, safe place inside, too, is probably what a forever home feels like. I hope so.  These days, I’m practicing leash-walking and learning what important words like “sit,” “down,” and “wait” mean. I’m also eating well and growing, on my way to being a good-size dog. I’m an affectionate, beautiful black and white Husky/Staffie mix female who’d really like to meet you. Won’t you please come visit?

Hi… my name is Banner,

Adopted 3-10-24

First, let me say I can run, jump, and get dirty like any dog. Indeed, I love going to the play yard to chase balls, jump in a pool in warm weather, and happily engage in rowdy play with a canine pal. But there’s another side to me, too. I know how to be calm and loving, grateful for a person’s attention and affection. Recently some volunteers gave me a bath and described my behavior as perfect, “an amazing gentleman” during the bath, gorgeous and soft afterward. I share my run with another dog and he’s fun company but some of my favorite times are with friendly humans. I’m a handsome Husky/ Staffie mix male with a black coat and white markings, who’d welcome the chance to share playful, tranquil, and contented times with you.

Hi… my name is Honor,

Adopted with Glory 9-10-23

On my first day here, when a volunteer looked into my deep brown eyes and said, “Welcome to TALGV,” I didn’t know what to think. But I do now! I’ve always had fun playing with my siblings or people, but now I think my learning job is fun, too. For instance, I enjoy practicing with volunteers on what to do for words like “sit,” “stay,” or “wait.” (I’m already good on “sit” and learning more.) I love being outdoors and active, so working on leash-walking is also important for me. As a Husky/Staffie mix female, likely to grow into a good-size dog, I look forward to regular exercise with my person. So, what do you think? Will an active, friendly, growing and learning pup be fun for you? Please visit me and we’ll see!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Henry,

ADOPTED 5-25-23

H – Is for Handsome, I’m a 30-pound Beagle mix, age 3.
E – Is for Ears, they are long and floppy
N – Is for Nose, which seeks out scents greatly
R – Is for Ready for you to Rescue me
Y – Is for YOU, in a home with whom I could be.
Okay, so maybe I won’t be a famous poet, but I could be the next best thing: your newest family member. A Good Samaritan found me alone on a busy road and tried to find my family – but no luck. While I was friendly with them, their big dog scared me. I will need time to adjust and learn your household routine because I’m rather shy. Once I feel safe, I’ll be your loyal companion – forever! Let’s take the first step!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Sedona,

Adopted 9-2-23

Like the famous town known for its peacefulness and beauty,  I long for a forever home where calmness reigns. My prior environment was like living in New York City: too much of everything – people, activity, noise. It’s overwhelming for a 30-pound adorable girl with big ears like me. Now that I’m at TALGV, I’m finding my inner peace while enjoying the security my crate provides me. The human friends I have made here know that I will be their BFF for treats. I love toys, know several commands, and am house-trained.  I’m working on my leash manners so that we’ll be able to leisurely explore our surroundings together. Are you an introvert like me, preferring small groups over crowds? Peaceful over hyper? Relaxed vs. restless? If so, we won’t need much more than each other.

Hi… my name is Annie,

Adopted 5-24-23

Guess what I have in common with cats, monkeys and some frogs? We can climb trees! Yes, I wandered onto a kind family’s property – who tried unsuccessfully to find my family – oh boy, they were surprised to learn my trick! Okay, aside from that amazing feat, I do have others: I seem to be okay with cats AND am a pro at leash-walking. TALGV thinks I’m a cattle dog mix.  Mixed with what? Awesomeness, of course! Maybe you can tell from my bio, I’m a girl who likes to make friends. Do you have a secure yard – with trees safely away from any walls or fences – LOL! So far, I haven’t learned to jump over them, so it’s best not to make it easy for me to do so. Don’t wait! Come meet me today!
