What’s in a name? “Walter” might be an “old-fashioned” name, but I prefer to think of it as “Classic” where such traits as Loyal, Loving and Intelligent are a given. I’ve been on several outings and adoption events to show off what a great dog I am. I’m tolerant of other dogs but prefer two-legged friends. I love to go for walks and when I need some downtime, I’ll retreat to my crate and will even lay on top of it when I’m in my kennel. My finders tried for over a month to locate my owners. When they couldn’t be found, my benefactors knew I’d have a better chance of finding my forever family with TALGV. If you want a well-behaved, mild-mannered, respectful, handsome guy, look no further! Life is better with a “Walter.” (bio updated 7-2023)

I am a beautiful, young, brindle girl looking for a loving home. I am small-ish sized (medium at best), and my paperwork says I am a Bull Terrier/Shih Tzu mix. I am bashful and can be somewhat fearful of loud noises, but I am still young and VERY treat motivated. If you are a patient leader—and have a handful of treats—you and I will be BESTIES. In fact, a volunteer had me eating out of the palm of her hand, and I repaid her with soulful eyes and a few tail wags. Come and take me home today!

I am a nine-month-old Staffie mix gal who was brought to TALGV by a kind person who found me wandering behind Walmart. I am somewhat bashful until I get to know you. But once I know you . . . oh, my gosh, I am 39 pounds of wiggly-butt love! Or, as one volunteer put it, “exuberantly affectionate when smitten.” I’m told I walk well on a leash, but that I will need basic command training. Shh . . . a secret: Treats are my kryptonite AND the way to my heart! Show me a treat and with your loving guidance, eventually, I will show you a trick. The last thing you should know is, I have eyes that are the color of a green meadow, and they look waybetter in person (hint).

Tahoe is a gentle and relaxed 2-year-old, 52-pound Husky female who needs a new home. She is easy to walk, loves car rides, and has some obedience training (sit and shake). She is housebroken, loves exercise, and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, her shots are up to date, and medical records are available. Tahoe needs to be your only pet as she does not get along with other dogs; cats are unknown. She is great with people and loves to talk to you. There is no adoption fee for this sweet girl. Hi… my name is Tally,

Adopted by previous owner with Hemi 1-14-23

My mom, Hemi, and I came to TALGV together after our people could no longer take care of us. Several of my brothers and sisters lived with us, too, and I guess it got to be too much. I really love my Mom, so we need to be adopted together. I am particular about whom I trust and I need some time to warm up to new people. Since we do better as a pair, we should be your only dogs. They say we are pretty well behaved and know to use the doggie door. The two of us want to stay together when we go home with our forever family. Do you think you can open your heart (and home) to us two big girls?
