Adopted 6-22-23

Maddie is an adorable 7-pound, 7-month-old female Pomeranian that needs a new home. Owner’s health and limited energy are not adequate for training a puppy. She is partially housebroken, likes attention and playing fetch. Maddie is healthy, spayed and is up to date with shots (medical records available). She might be best as an only pet; children are unknown. She is a sweet cuddlebug that loves chest rubs and being brushed. Maddie should be easy to train since she responds to treats. There is no adoption fee for this special girl. If you will welcome Maddie into a patient loving home as part of your family, please call Rose between 8 AM and 7 PM at 503-440-9248.

Hi… my name is Joey,

Adopted with Rosey 5-28-23

Rosie and I are best friends—two little dogs who love, support, and keep each other company. We shared years of happy togetherness with our former person, but things changed, and now we must find someone new to love. I’m a 9-year-old Pomeranian male who’s affectionate, plays well, and loves to cuddle. On the practical side, in our previous home I “asked” to go outside and was good in the house when our person was gone. Of course, I believe Rosie is a sweetheart of a doggie companion (she says that’s mutual), and we’ve agreed that if you choose the two of us, we’ll do our very best to double your doggie pleasure and double your fun.  We’ll be ever so grateful to have a happy home again, together, with someone wonderful like you.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Rowdy,

Returned to previous owner 4-13-19

Back when I was a “too tiny puppy,” I was rescued from a puppy mill. My human mom and dad believed that’s why I’ve always been anxious and distrustful of people generally, but Mom and I developed a “deep and abiding love for each other,” (quoting her niece). For 8 years, I was happy as could be with Mom and Dad, and “they would never in a million years have given me up” if serious illness had not made it impossible for them to take care of me. As hard as it was to say goodbye, Mom said it gave her great peace of mind to know I’d be well cared for. And since she believed in me, I do too. Someone else will love lively, unique little me, and I’m hoping it’s you.

Hi… my name is Bambi,

Adopted 9-7-18

Moving here was a big surprise to my sister Oreo and me. We’d been with our people four years, ever since we were puppies, but when they moved out of state and couldn’t take us, we no longer had a home. Needless to say, that’s a scary predicament. When we arrived at TALGV, we just barked at strangers and huddled together. But things are getting better. The Den Mothers help a lot. They’re the volunteers who visit us regularly in The Den—the room here for little dogs. With their encouragement, we’re showing more of our true selves—bright, vivacious and spunky. We’re Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix females; I’m the tan and white one, 11 pounds, and if you could love a lively, attentive little dog like me, I’d be proud to be your devoted companion.

Hi… my name is Buffy,

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

It was a dark and scary night, I was lost and alone—a 14-year-old, 8-pound female—when the clock struck midnight and a stranger opened his door to me. Yes, I was scared, but this caring person was willing to help. He tried to find my owner via social media and driving around, but no luck. And since my coat was matted and I needed some medical attention, chances are I’d been “out” for a while. But now I’m safe, and even have a foster dad who’s taking wonderful care of me. We go for walks; he makes sure I’m eating well and shows me loving kindness every day. I have Free Vet Care for Life, and a wise little heart that tells me someone will love me just as I am. Is that you?
