Hi… my name is Xena,

Adopted 7-27-23

My friend and I were found wandering aimlessly around a neighborhood for a couple of weeks. Upon our arrival at TALGV we were welcomed and made to feel quite at home. Now it’s time for me to find my forever home! I’m a female Pug mix who’s nearly 2 years old. I walk pretty well on a leash and can use a doggy door. The first time I went to the play yard I discovered how much I enjoyed the exercise, exploring and sniffing out a variety of aromas. At times, for a change of pace, a playmate was introduced! I’ve shared my accommodations with a couple of different (canine) roommates. Are you looking for a loving, faithful companion? Did I mention I can also share my accommodations with my (human) roommate? I can!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Buster (aka Rav),

Adopted 7-16-23

I am a short little guy with a tooth that sometimes peeks out and people say I make them laugh. I like hearing it because usually they laugh and then immediately scratch behind my ears. My mom could no longer take care of me and Lizbeth, but she said that I got along well with kids and that I like some other animals but not all. She also mentioned that I was good when left alone in the house. You should know that I’m a bit of an adventurer, so a fenced yard where I can roam about would be just great! Or we can take walks together, perhaps to the park? If you like that and a companion to snuggle with at the end of the day, I’m here, waiting!

Adopted 5-25-23

Bugsy is an affectionate and smart 15-month-old, 21-pound, Pug/Boston Terrier mix male that needs a new home because he no longer gets along with his brother. He is house trained and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Bugsy loves to catch balls and is very playful, but he would benefit from more leash training. Other dogs and cats are not his friends; children are unknown. He will sit for treats but can be slow to warm up to strangers. Bugsy is a gentle and loving companion who prefers to share your bed. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Bugsy into a loving home as part of your family, please call Matt any time at 520-490-6791.

Hi… my name is Pudgy,

Adopted 2-10=23

I’m a peppy Pug boy that’s a bit of a flirt, so I’m not sure how I ended up alone in the Circle K parking lot. I enjoy playing with people and toys, but I REALLY love treats! In fact, I get so excited for yummies that I’ve been told my exuberance can cause me to forget there are fingers wrapped around them. Volunteers here use a dainty toss, but with your loving guidance, I’m sure I’ll learn the art of dainty acceptance. I also love going for walks, and I must say this: that’s NOT pudge on my physique—it’s muscle! What do you say, do you need a walking buddy? Good. Because maybe I could stand to lose some, um, “muscle.” What’s that? You need a toy-chasing, cuddle buddy? Well then…sign me UP!

Hi… my name is Zoey,

Transferred to Pug Rescue Group with Purdita 1-26-21

Purdita and I are littermates and have always been together. She is blind and I guess you can call me her seeing-eye dog. We like to play together—and with our people!—and I help her find her way around. When our mom could no longer keep us, she said to make sure to tell you that we’ve gotten along with children of all ages and that we seem to love everyone. Both of us are cuddle-bugs–but then, what else would you expect from a couple of Pugs? We know commands like “come,” “sit,” and “stay,” but we never quite mastered how to tell you when we need to go outside. We are kennel-trained, though (and won’t go in there!) and as long as we get to go outside regularly, we’re okay.
