My friend, Jenny, and I were two lost Shepherds! Being together was better than being alone, but we were still lost and you know what that can mean for a dog—hunger, thirst, and very possibly danger. Fortunately, a kind stranger took us in and then brought us to TALGV. In that short time, she could tell that I’m a very loving and affectionate fellow. You can probably see it in my eyes; that sincere good-natured look is genuine! I’m black and tan with white markings, a Shepherd mix male, about 2 years old. Like most Shepherds, I’m eager to learn and really enjoy being close to my person, so we could have lots of great times together. My siblings and I were found abandoned in a dog food bag in the middle of a road. Thankfully, we were all okay, and oh so happy to arrive in our spacious TALGV room! Here, the volunteers take care of all kinds of puppy basics for us—good food, exercise, medical stuff, and our first lessons on how to be good puppies with people. I love playing with my siblings, and I’ve also come to really like people, too. When I see their faces at the window, I hope they’re looking for a puppy just like me: a Shepherd mix male, mainly black with tan and white markings. Could you be the one to give me my forever home? Eli

Could I get lucky in the adoption department just one more time? My dog buddy, Skittles, and I had a wonderful home with our person for 1-1/2 years, but due to her health issues, we’re back at TALGV. I’m a black and tan, 2-year-old male; a Shepherd/Hound mix—which, in my case, means a guy with handsome shepherd looks and hound ears, who’s leash trained and what people call “a really nice dog.” I like playing with a ball, and I’m willing to learn new games, too, because I’m a friendly guy who just likes being with people. If you take me home, I’ll do my best every day to make you glad you did. How about we meet and see if the perfect place for me is with you!

Dora

DORA is a playful, social, and sweet 8-week-old, Shepherd mix who was rescued by owner who has several pets already. Dora is working on potty and leash training. She is a healthy girl who is up to date on shots and has certificate for free spay courtesy of TALGV. Dora is good with people, dogs and cats. There is no adoption fee. Ginger

GINGER is an adventurous, playful, and sweet 3-month-old medium-coated shepherd mix female who was left in a wash by her mom. Finder is unable to keep Ginger and her sibling, Bailey, as they already have several pets. Her shots are up to date and she has a certificate for spay courtesy of TALGV. Ginger is shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she is a love. She especially enjoys playing with children. She is quickly being potty, crate, and leash trained. Ginger gets along well with cats but needs slow introduction to new dogs. She likes playing in water and has no fear of storms. This is prime time for learning everything needed to become a well-behaved addition to your family. There is no adoption fee for Ginger. In the distant past, I had to resort to begging hot dogs at a convenience store. Then I was adopted and that went well for a few years, until some other dogs came on the scene and we didn’t get along. Now I’m here again and I don’t mind telling you I have my hopes up for a truly forever home. I’m a 5-1/2-year-old Chow/Shepherd mix with a luxurious tan coat, you might call golden, and my triangle-shaped ears are adorable, don’t you think? I’m leash trained and well behaved off leash, too. Belly rubs and toys are among my favorite things, but my most favorite thing in the world would be a home where I’ll be loved forever. Imagine how I’ll love you back if that can be with you!

Shiloh

Hi… my name is Shiloh.

My friend, Jocko, and I lived together until a new baby was born to our family. The new parents worried that we might play too boisterously around the newborn, and they just didn’t have time for training. So now I’m here, hoping that someone will look into my big brown eyes and see the great buddy I can be. I’m a good-looking, black and tan 5-year-old Shepherd mix female; active and playful. I’m already great at tug-of-war and if you know other games, we can have lots of fun playing those, too. Honestly, giving and receiving attention is my favorite thing. When you give me your time and love, I’ll give it back to you wholeheartedly. If that sounds good to you, I’m hoping we can meet real soon.
