Animal League News

Hi… my name is Kay Kay,

Rainbow Bridge 2-8-24

I’m not retired from giving love. Just come to meet me at The Animal League. You will find me ready to receive your pets and affectionate words. I lived with my human mom almost my entire life. I miss her, but she could no longer care for me so I’m ready to be loved by another person. I love to be brushed so my fur coat doesn’t mat. I’m a good eater, even on my special diet. I come with Vet Care Support for Life which will help with certain medical care. I’m a sweet, gentle lady who desires a person who will embrace the future with me. Is that you?

Hi… my name is Checkers,

Adopted with Pignoli 3-19-24

I am a handsome tuxedo cat with a neat bow tie who’s looking for human companionship. I like to play in crinkle tunnels, but I really love to be petted by my human. I head-butt to get your attention and quickly snuggle into your arms. I readily accept a rub of ears and throat, pronouncing my satisfaction with a contented purr. I’m a friendly guy who was brought to The Animal League from another shelter. For a time, another cat and I lived with a foster family who declared me “wonderful!” I quite agree! The only risk you run in befriending a cat is enriching yourself. So please come in to meet me!

Hi… my name is Cocoa,

Adopted 2-18-24

From my pictures, you can see that I am a handsome little guy with unique white and grey markings. Can you see how scared I am? I am confused as to why I’m at The Animal League. The kind volunteers tell me that my human mom could no longer care for me and my litter mates, so we were all brought in, awaiting adoption. Guess what? My siblings have all been adopted so I’m left behind. In my new surroundings, I’m perplexed so I hide. However, with kind words (and treats!) I’m being coaxed out of my cubby to enjoy human companionship. Perhaps your patience would be just what I need. Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Bella,

Adopted 2-2-24

Sad was my parting from the only human I’ve ever known. She had a military move that did not allow her to take me with her. In her home, I got along with another cat, but I did not get along with men and hid from children. I prefer another female who will understand me. I’m shy with everyone except my human, so you will need to give me time to trust you. Are you patient? If so, I will reward you with purrs and pleasant times cuddling. I appreciate a covered cat bed for my quiet times. I’m a gentle soul who needs a quiet home where I can be myself.

Ace

Hi… my name is Ace,

Adopted with Ariel 1-24-25

It’s no wonder my bonded companion Ariel and I were shy and fearful when we arrived at The Animal League. Rescued from a motel in Oklahoma City by a kind lady who fostered us for a while, I got along with adults and resident cats, but no dogs or children ever visited. Playing with small toys and laser lights was fun. I appreciate volunteers who pet and brush me. I’m a mellow fellow who enjoys snuggling in my cat bed for naps. A handsome lad, my fur coat markings with plumed tail will win you over! Ariel and I are ready to cuddle in your home. Please meet us!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet Ariel and me soon. Or you may  call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Ariel,

Adopted with Ace 1-24-25

When my buddy Ace and I arrived at The Animal League, we were shy and fearful. No wonder! We were rescued from a motel in Oklahoma City. For a while we lived in a foster home with adults and other cats, but no children or dogs visited. I liked to play with small toys and to recline in my cat tree. At The Animal League, you may find me in a cubby napping. I’ve become quite a friendly, fluffy lady who enjoys human companionship. Plus, I’m drop-dead-gorgeous! Ready to meet me? My bonded companion Ace and I are ready to meet you! We would be so happy to go home with you!

Hi… my name is Nala Lala,

Adopted 1-31-24

Dad passed away, so here I am looking for a new home. I’m a senior girl that comes with free vet care support for life. I’m a little shy but will purr when the volunteers pet me. I hang out under a cat tree. I’m not used to other pets, and don’t get along well with children—but you can depend on me to use my litter box. I must be a good eater ‘cause I’m a big girl. I’ll warm up to you if you show patience. My coat is a brown, grey and white mix, with dark stripes. I’d really like to find a quiet home where I can be your easy companion.

Hi… my name is Pignoli,

Adopted with Checkers 3-19-24

As a kitten I was adopted by a senior mom who kept my shelter name, which is Italian for pine nut.  Now she can no longer care for me. I lived with her, another cat and a small dog. Mom said I’m “the strong, silent type” and I like to sleep on a couch.  Here I’ve been sleeping in a high perch of a cat tree and I like to play. I’m a big boy, and I enjoy being petted, scratched and brushed. My coat is white and black, with a cute black dot on my chin. I’m young enough to have lots of play time ahead of us, so why not come meet me?
