My life hasn’t been a bowl of cherries! As a kitten I was found with my siblings under a carport. I was adopted with my brother into a home where my owners were gone much of the time. Guess what? We kittens went wild! We came back to TALGV and found a new home with a nice man. However, my brother bullied me. Then dad got sick and had to return us to The Animal League. I was very unhappy at first and hissed a lot. However, my brother is no longer around, and I’ve blossomed into a friendly girl. I love attention and laps. Please come and give me a third try at happiness!

My roomie Cha Cha and I were left in a home where someone is allergic to us—boo hoo! That’s our bad luck. We are both very sweet cats. I love scratching and laps, and will rub your legs for attention. You can’t accuse me of being shy! I wasn’t always nice to Cha Cha though, so maybe a home without another cat would be best. I am a handsome tabby boy with beautiful black stripes and yellow eyes. I’m middle aged and would love to spend the rest of my life with a human companion. Why not come meet me? Somebody played a dirty trick on me. They put a loose collar on me and I got outside! Since I don’t like collars, I tried to get it off…but only succeeded in trapping my paw inside the collar. By the time I arrived here, the collar was embedded into my neck and armpit. Not fun. That’s behind me now, and I’m healing nicely. I’m ready to have fun, and since I’ve been here, I seem to get along with the other cats in my kennel. At my age I have lots of play time in mind, along with plenty of attention. Please come meet me and let’s see if we can come to some arrangement.

Once upon a time, three young dogs were found all alone in a desert wash. I was one of those dogs, the 18-month-old male, and even I can’t tell you how we got there. Let’s just say we were lost but lucky because a kind person found us and brought us here. The two females in our trio already have been adopted, and I admit to feeling lonely right now. Oh, I have lots of new TALGV friends. We go on walks, they feed me, keep me company, and are patiently helping me become more confident. I’m a 24-pound Heeler with a beautiful black coat and speckled paws, quietly dreaming of life as a happy, carefree dog in a wonderful place called home.
