People tend to notice my merle and white coat first because, they say, it’s unusually handsome. They often comment on my eyes—one is blue, the other brown. I enjoy the compliments, of course, but my favorite part is when we get acquainted because I’m a friendly, sweet guy who loves being with people. Some say I make them happy just by being me! The kind fellow who rescued me couldn’t keep me forever, but in our two days together he wished he could. He said my good qualities included being “a great dog, lots of love, very sweet, and sensitive.” My friends here agree! I’m on my second go-round here. Three years ago I was found in a car engine in a parking lot, and people were able to catch me and bring me to safety. I was adopted by a nice person, but they are now moving overseas. So I’m back! I come with a good recommendation. I’m gentle with children and am used to another cat. I pretty much eat anything and sleep anywhere, and I’m pretty laid back in general. I love to rub up against legs and feet. The volunteers here say I respond well to petting, brushing and scratching. Well, I was left behind. My owner moved and left me with a family that included a dog and other cats, but it was too much for them. Too bad! All the volunteers here say I’m an absolute love bug—and I certainly do love human attention. I am known to put my paws on a chest and rub cheeks with someone who stops to pet me. Mama dropped me off with my siblings at a nice man’s house, and he brought us to The Animal League. I’m the last one still here! After a period of extreme shyness, now I’m “Mr. Friendly,” coming out to meet each new person in my room. I’m not a lap boy, but I do like being near humans and will follow you around to keep you company. I get along with the other cats in my room and like to play with string toys. I have a soft white coat with a black tail and black markings on my head. Would you be the one to introduce me to the joys of a new home?
