Animal League News

Hi… my name is Cashmere,

Adopted 11-11-23

My foster mom said that I’m “a love.” I was a bottle baby until my new roommates shamed me into eating out of a bowl at seven weeks old. I’m a lap kitten and extremely loving. I really like to explore and am playful. I can get possessive of my toys, so I need to learn to share. When I get over-stimulated, watch out! I panic and it can hurt. I couldn’t care less about the two big dogs I lived with. In general, I get along with my peers, but a quiet home (maybe with no very young children) might be best for me. So, what do you say?  Are you ready to meet me?

Hi… my name is Charlie,

Adopted with Chaplin 11-18-23

If you have seen a picture of Charlie Chaplin, the comic actor of the silent film era, then you know why my name is Charlie! (It’s my mustache!) You also know why I must be adopted with my best buddy Chaplin. Together we make up the actor’s full name. Believe me, you will want us both! We were found at the Sahuarita Mission Apartments and brought to The Animal League. I am a cute little guy just waiting to shower you with playful attention. I’m inquisitive and am ready for a journey of new beginnings. Chaplin and I would love to make our journey with you. How about it?

Hi… my name is Big Girl,

Adopted 11-19-23

You know how everything is relative? Well, that’s me. I’m only a “big girl” if you put me in a room filled with kittens! I’m just the right size to fill your heart with love. The only reason I’m here is that my previous humans had too many cats to care for. How sad they were to bring five of us into The Animal League. But, hey! We adapted so quickly that the volunteers are in love with us and think we are the sweetest cats. And we are! Please come see for yourself. We promise not to disappoint you. If you want a friendly cat with a striking-colored fur coat, then I’m yours!

Hi… my name is Awesome Sauce,

Adopted 12-6-23

Several of us cats came into The Animal League at the same time with very unusual names. I’m one of them! Does that conjure in your mind a delicious entrée? Well, I’m “delicious” in a different way. I’m sweet and friendly. I love to lie on the high perch of the cat tree, but I also like to snuggle in your lap.  My calico markings are so pretty, don’t you think? My yellow-orange nose and left cheek, along with my white chest and white paws help me stand out from other calicoes in the room. I DO know how to “work the room” because I’m in your lap as soon as you sit down! Come on in!

Hi… my name is George,

I am ready for life in the fast lane! I have the energy and determination to be your best cat ever! Are you ready for that? I was rescued from a parking lot in Nogales, AZ. (Perhaps that’s why I’m ready to shift from “park” to “drive”.) When I was brought to The Animal League, the first order of business was to give me a bath. It felt good to be clean and show off how handsome I am! I’m VERY friendly. I love to play with wand toys. Better yet, I love to be petted and brushed. I have personality plus! Please come meet me! Perhaps we could become friends and I could go home with you!

Hi… my name is Paco,

Adopted 4-22-24

A long life with beauty and challenges I am living! I have lived in a couple of homes. For several years, I lived with a single person and other resident felines. I enjoyed playing with string toys, mice and tennis balls. I was very sociable and loving. Sadly, my human was unable to care for me so brought me to The Animal League where I was adopted by a senior woman. She said I liked to sit on her lap or on counters. As a Siamese, I was a vocalist. I returned to The Animal League due to medical issues that are being treated. I desire a quiet home with loving, caring humans. Could that be you?

Hi… my name is Diamond,

Adopted 12-3-23

Months ago, I was one of seven little puppies brought to The Animal League in a cardboard box!  Since then, I’ve been growing, learning, and having fun, but there have been a few disappointments, too. First, a family member’s allergies, then an older dog didn’t want me around, and now my current family is going far away. What’s a people-loving dog like me to do? Put my best paw forward, of course. My former people said I was good with children, housetrained, liked playing with a ball, and understood the words “sit,” “lay down,” and “go outside.” I’m a big, active puppy who loves to give and receive attention, and really wants to belong to someone. How about we meet real soon and find out if we could be a happy family together forever.
