Pilgrim

I am a Labrador-mix puppy and my siblings and I were found by some nice two-leggers who brought us to TALGV. My siblings have already been adopted and now I need to find MY forever home. I have since been vaccinated and microchipped, and, well, aren’t I the cutest thing with my roly-poly puppy belly? All this cuteness will need your guidance, though, so that I can mature into a well-mannered adult. Not to brag, but the Labrador in me means that I could be pretty smart. Roland is a gentle and loving 5-year-old, 92-pound Redbone Hound mix male who needs a new home because family is moving out of the country.He is crate trained, leash trained, and obedience trained. He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Roland plays well with other dogs and gets along with children; cats are unknown. He is easygoing, enjoys being groomed, and will let you know when he needs water in his dish. MURPHY is a handsome, good tempered, and well-behaved 5-year-old, 110-pound Lab/English Mastiff hybrid male that needs a new home. He is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. He knows basic obedience commands, loves exercise, and responds well to treat training. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Murphy likes friendly large dogs but not small dogs; cats and children are unknown. He is a wonderful companion that needs plenty of exercise combined with lots of love and attention. He does not like to be alone, and since he really prefers to be with his family, he would probably do best as an only dog. There is no adoption fee. How or why I ended up at the Pilot Travel Center just outside Tucson is still a mystery. Thanks to a concerned person, I was rescued and transported to TALGV where I was scanned for a chip (which I have). It appears I started out in Texas, but after a couple of calls, even though they knew who I was, no one there could actually claim me. I can’t understand why! True, I’m a little rambunctious, but who wouldn’t be under these circumstances. I’m friendly, can use the doggy door, and (might) sit for a “good” treat. Now that my traveling days are a thing of the past, I need a stable home, with a family to share it with. Just look for the handsome young Bull Terrier/Shepherd mix. I’ll be waiting for you!

It is said that deaf dogs hear with their hearts. I know that is definitely true for me! My friends here say that not only do I appear to be listening when they talk to me, but I also seem to understand what they are saying. I like just about anyone who comes to visit me here, especially when they sit with me and I can curl up to them and have my belly rubbed or my ears scratched. Several volunteers have complimented me for paying close attention to them when we are out and about, and for being well behaved on a leash. I was also introduced to the play yard and I can’t even tell you how much fun that was! I made some doggie friends and hope to meet more! Will you be my friend?

As a kitten I was brought to The Animal League by a woman who rescued my litter mates and me. Within one month, I was adopted by a couple and for years was loved and pampered along with Willow. When the security of that home ended, the gentleman brought Willow and me here. About me he said, “ Maya is the most perfect cat! He is a totally loving companion who loves to snuggle. He has a wonderful, soothing purr. He has beautiful, adoring eyes. He is my Mayan warrior.” All I desire is a quiet, loving home to share with you.

I was found under a fifth wheel trailer at night with my sister Manuka. We were brought to The Animal League where a kind foster cared for us until we were ready to be adopted. That time is now! She said that I am wildly expressive. I’m athletic and playful and love to tumble with my sister. I would love to be adopted with a friend. I also love a good cuddle and would be happy to share your lap. Giving us attention would provide you with hours of enjoyment. You do have to watch me though…I’m a “door darter” so beware!
