Hi… my name is Shine,

Adopted with Rain 11-23-24

My sisters and I were found by a lady and brought to The Animal League as small kittens. We went to live with our foster mom, who had a hard time telling us apart! We are all what she calls “tortico,” mostly darker torti markings but with white (like a calico). I’m the smallest, and the shyest. I love people and will tuck my head around so you can scratch my chin. Mom says I’m sweet and well-behaved, unlike my sisters who get into everything.  I liked to sleep up against mom’s leg or under the bed. Of course, I love to play! Come meet us all and let us charm you.

Hi… my name is Toro,

Adopted 11-14-24

I was found on El Toro Road between La Villita and La Canada and was brought to TALGV. The life of a stray: How long have I been away from my home? Where is my home? Why haven’t my people found me yet? My best qualities are personality and appearance. Inheriting my Siamese kin traits, I’m intelligent, curious, and playful. I like to be brushed, petted, and cuddled. And handsome! I should say so! I sport a tabby pattern reminiscent of my wild lynx ancestors’ elegance. My mesmerizing eyes add that touch of regality to my gaze. My breed is known for forming strong bonds with humans. I’m waiting for you! Please come meet me.

Hi… my name is Inky,

Adopted with Otis 1-5-25

Sitting on a windowsill in The Animal League gazing out the window, I ponder my good fortune. Very little is known about me. Roaming about in Esperanza Estates, a kind woman found me and brought me to safety. That was good, although I was so scared upon arrival that the volunteers let me get my bearings for a few days before they checked me out. That calmed me so that they could care for me. I’m grateful! Although I’m not a kitten anymore, I do like to play with wand toys. “Purrfection” would be having my own human on the other end playing with me! How ‘bout it? Are you game? I’m here waiting for you.

Hi… my name is Daisy Mae,

Adopted with Angel 11-17-24

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Once upon a time two little dogs—Angel and I—were rescued by one wonderful woman. She taught us what a “good home” means. After her death, we became TALGV dogs. Today, while waiting for our next warm and loving home, we’re staying with another nice woman and her friendly dog. We go on car rides and walks in the park (two of our favorite things) and just hang out together. Foster mom says we eat well, don’t make messes in the house, and are fine being left at home when she’s at work. We recently had a spa treatment (la-de-dah!) and are ready to meet new friends. Angel and I are 11-year-old Terrier mix females, who have Vet Care Support for Life, and will be adopted together. Please come meet us soon.

Daisy Mae and I are Terrier mix females, each 11 years old and come with Vet Care Support for Life. We also come together—two little dogs with big hearts, who will be shy at first, but will soon bring a double supply of love to their forever home. Could that wonderful home be with you?

Hi… my name is Cow Kitty,

Adopted with Raven 12-5-24

When dad fell on hard times, he had to give up my buddy Raven and me. Sad for all of us! We had been together for several years. There were five other cats and two children in the family, and we all got along. One of the kids must have named me, based on my coat looking like a Holstein. Dad says I’m playful but sometimes shy with strangers. I’m a little more independent than Raven, and will alternate between playing and relaxing. Here at The Animal League, I like laps and will roll over for petting and playing. Come meet me and Raven, and see if you like our “package deal.”
