Animal League News

Hi… my name is Cozy,

Adopted 5-31-22

“Cozy” conjures feelings of comfort and contentment. I am finding those here at The Animal League. My story: I lived with seven cats until my human mom moved. I was then abandoned and left outside to fend for myself. I found a kind next door neighbor who fed me outside for a few weeks. Realizing the dangers outside for a cat, she brought me here. I am friendly and enjoy being petted. I appreciate human attention, although at times I’m a little skittish. I’m longing for my own home. Won’t you come meet me so I can share my cozy warmth with you?

Hi… my name is Magic,

Adopted 9-1-22

Abracadabra! Magic—that’s me! I was left on the property near Canoa Ranch after my human died. A kind woman brought me to The Animal League.  She called herself a “finder of cats.” Am I ever glad she found me! I was found to be “in the family way” so I went into foster care to stay until my kittens were born. We were all well cared for.  My kittens are going their own ways, and now I am ready to begin my new life. With you? I hope so. I’m a petite lady who loves attention. Please come meet me so I can work my “magic” on you!

Hi… my name is Sparkle,

Adopted 7-16-22

Little old me was found at the El Toro and Alvernon Road area. I had just been dumped there. Not a very nice way to treat a cat. However, the kind lady who rescued me brought me to The Animal League where I have been taken care of … to the max! Being in “the family way,” I was fostered until my kittens and I were ready to be adopted. We are now ready! I’m a petite young lady who is very friendly. Just come meet me and let me demonstrate my charms. I have so much love and playfulness to share. Won’t you consider me as an addition to your home?

Hi… my name is Tamale,

Adopted 6-3-22

Don’t you just love my name? I do! I couldn’t have chosen a better one. I was found way, way out in the desert all alone. Sad indeed. But my rescuer brought me to The Animal League where I am being well cared for. A handsome lad with a sleek coat of fur, I am learning to appreciate the kind attention of the volunteers. They feed me and pet me and give me safe places to stay. I like that! However, I would prefer my own home with my own humans to love on. Won’t you come meet me? My future is bright. Perhaps we could share it together?

Hi… my name is Morsel,

Adopted 10-22-22

Wandering around a neighborhood, I wanted inside my rescuer’s home. No wonder! I was found to be “in the family way” and needed protection from the outdoors. A kind lady brought me here. After I had my kittens, we were all adopted into different homes…but mine wasn’t a good fit for me.  Although I craved human attention and would rub their legs, I couldn’t get enough and would cry. I also fought with the other resident cat. I think I need to be your one and only—and I want lots of your attention. I like to play and be petted and will reward you with my affection. Is this a fit for you?

Hi… my name is Molly,

Adopted with Buddy 9-14-22

Very friendly and bonded with Buddy, I like to play with everything. I love to be brushed and petted. Occasionally, I would hop up into my rescuer’s lap.  I sleep in either a bed or cat tree tower, depending on my mood. Found in her neighborhood, our rescuer attempted to integrate Buddy and me into her home. She took us to her vet and had me spayed and Buddy neutered. She had us both vaccinated and proclaimed healthy. Despite her efforts, her resident cat was too stressed to accept us, so she sadly had to bring us here. However, we’re ready to meet our new humans. Won’t you please come in to meet us?
