Like a flowering magnolia plant, I need the attention and care of humans. I am receiving that at The Animal League after my rescuer brought me here. She found me abandoned in a house which she had purchased. When the previous owner moved out, he left me with food, water, and a litter box. That is not enough for a pet! I need human companionship and socialization. Not much else is known about my past. At nine years of age, I have much love to give. Despite being left to fend for myself, I am a sweet, beautiful lady who longs to share my life with a caring human(s). Could that be you? Please come meet me and hear my purr of affection!

I thought you might like to know that after my “dad” passed away and I had no one else, TALGV is a GOOD place to be. I get the attention and understanding I need, with a large dose of love thrown in. I am currently being successfully treated for a medical issue. I’m an affable boy, a Rottie mix who is approximately 4 years old. I’m at that age where I can appreciate the finer things in life like early morning walks (which I do very well), good food, occasional treats and naps, but mostly someone to love and share my life. Hi… my name is Mama,

I’m not just any black cat—I have a distinctive smoky silver undercoat that shines through the black on top. It looks quite elegant, along with my startling yellow-green eyes. Photogenic I am! I came here as a stray so I don’t know details about my earlier life, but I must have been treated okay because I’m a real people-cat. I will jump right into your lap; I like petting and you can pick me up. I like playing with string toys. I do need brushing to keep my coat looking its best. I’m only two years old so I have lots of time to shower you with affection. Shall we get started right away?

I can’t tell you much about my past, but I came here from a home that had way too many pets so I’m probably not used to lots of attention. Somewhere along the way I lost a rear leg—that’s right, I only have three legs! Now that I’m at The Animal League I’m trying to get past the “deer in the headlights” phase. “Torbie” means I’m like a grey tabby but with orange, and I also have a white chin. I’m very shy but I like petting. I’m not sure about brushing yet. I’d like to find a home where I can feel secure, be loved, and let my personality blossom.
