Hi… my name is Loki,

Adopted with bonded companion Aela 9-29-22

Military life was great, up until our family received travel orders to Alaska. I’m a friendly, gentle, and affectionate Shiba Inu mix boy, who loves to hug people. Before my arrival here, I lived with my best friend (Aela), cats, and a seven year old human. Since Aela and I can’t go with them, we’re in the market for our new  home(s). I’m house and crate trained, “sit,” and ask to go out. I may not be leash trained, but according to one of the volunteers, I’m a VERY good boy who listens well, and doesn’t pull while walking. I’m usually relaxed but I can get nervous during thunderstorms and when left alone. Since Aela and I shared our previous home and are bonded, we are adoptable together.

Hi… my name is Aela,

Adopted with bonded companion Loki 9-29-22

Anyone who’s familiar with military family life knows that you may have to relocate at any time. I shared my home with my bestie (Loki), cats, and a seven year old child. Now I’m here with Loki searching for our new home(s). Maybe I’m not leash trained but I don’t pull and I pay attention to my handler. I’m house and crate trained, ask to go out, and know the command “sit.” I’ve been very playful with other dogs, and protective of children from aggressive animals. On the subject of animals, the “huntress” in me suggests that I avoid small animals (rabbits, hamsters, and the like). My former parent said I’m extremely smart, and “the best.” Like Loki, I’m not crazy about thunderstorms. Loki and I are available for adoption together.

Luz

Hi… my name is Luz,

Adopted 5-10-22

Seen outside her house wandering about, I was scooped up by a kind lady who took me inside her home. There I lived with her and her dog for a few days before she brought me here. She said that at times I was quiet and laid back (as I am here at TALGV). At other times I was bold and outgoing (probably when I knew my surroundings and person.) She said I displayed perfect manners. Sad that she couldn’t keep me, but I’m resilient and am already looking forward to meeting my new human to love. Will that be you? I hope so! Not much is known about my past, but my future looks bright.  Will you make it so by adopting me?

Hi… my name is Castle,

Adopted 5-1-22

My past is a mystery. I was found in the Canoa Ranch area with other cats. All of us were brought here to be well cared for and ready for homes.  And that is just what’s happening! Upon arrival, I got the full treatment: I had my “spa day” being cleaned and nails trimmed. I checked out to be a healthy, fine young guy. I am a handsome boy with contemplative eyes. I am enjoying the comforts of beds, meals and the security that I lacked in the desert. (No place for cats!) Although I’m not telling about my past, it is true that I am a survivor. Won’t you come meet me?

Hi… my name is Duster,

Adopted9-2-22

How’s this for a life story? I was one of twelve kittens shared by two mama cats. When we all were brought to TALGV five years ago, we were given names of automobiles. That’s how I became Duster. However, upon my adoption as a kitten, I was called Charlie. As they say, I don’t care what you call me, just call me for mealtimes! (I like both canned and dry cat food.) I lived with adults so don’t know how I’d get along with children. I prefer sleeping on my cat tree or under your bed. I’m a handsome guy with a distinguished black nose/chin goatee who would love to have a new home…. perhaps with you?

Hi… my name is Ashley,

Adopted 4-22-22

“Moving. No pets allowed.” That’s why I’m here. As a baby kitten I was given to my family by their friends, and I lived with them all my young life.  I loved my family which included four children ages twelve years old to one year old. We all got along fine. They said that I’m outgoing and very playful. I especially like balls or anything that rolls, including pens and pencils on the table. Getting inside boxes is great fun, too! But BEST of all:  I LOVE to cuddle with my humans. I’m a petite girl who has so much to give my humans.  Won’t you come meet me?  We could share the best of our lives together!

Hi… my name is Cami,

Adopted 4-29-22

I showed up on at a front door in the Houghton and Sahuarita Roads area, and some kind people took me in for two days. During that time, they said that I had no behavior problems and got along well with them and their dog.  Sadly, they couldn’t keep me but fortunately they brought me here where I am waiting for my new home. Although I was “found,” there is evidence that I had a home before. Perhaps I got lost? Who knows? The important thing for you to know is that I’m a petite girl who loves to cuddle and sleep on cushy beds.  I’m looking for a new home. Will you please come visit and get to know me?

Hi… my name is Thelma (aka Skye),

Adopted 4-28-22

My sister Louise and I were born into a litter of nine. After seven of our siblings found homes, we were brought here to find ours. I think it’s rather nice being here! We both get lots of individual attention, which I really love. Leash training is new to me, but since I enjoy going for walks, I’m doing my best to learn. Another subject up for discussion, “potty training.” I still need that lesson! I’m ready to start my schooling and learn my doggie ABC’s (sit, stay, down, etc.). I’ve heard about “puppy training” and “socialization,” so I guess I’ve got that to look forward to! I’m already a sweet and friendly gal, but with your loving guidance there’s always room for improvement. Once in my new home, with you, I know we’ll reach our goal.

Hi… my name is Louise,

Adopted 4-28-22

My sister Thelma and I had seven other litter mates, who are now with their new families. I’m actually happy to be here because, with just the two of us, it’s rather nice to be the center of attention for a change. At 5 ½ months old, and already a “tot,” I’m more than ready for “puppy training” to help me become a well-behaved member of your family. On the subject of training, I should be learning my doggie ABC’s. You know…the basic commands. Did I mention the “leash training” that happens on my walks? It’s not that easy, but going for walks is fun…so I’ll learn! Then there’s “socialization!” Even though I’m already sweet and friendly, I can never get too much! I’m also ready to experience a loving home life.  What? Did you say OUR home?
