Animal League News

Hi… my name is Barbie,

Adopted 10-9-22

My brother Ken and I were found and brought to TALGV by a good Samaritan. Boy, did we luck out: We got to stay with a foster mom and a big Lab to show us the ropes. Mom says I am working on potty training and that I’m really sweet. I guess she means that I like to snuggle and be near her. I‘ve gotten along with everyone I’ve met, both two and four legged. I already understand the word, “no,” although I’m always doing something fun right when she says it. (That’s just between us!) Leash training is next, mom says, after I get my last shots. Whatever that means! I’m ready. I think. Ken has found his forever home, so I would like to find mine real soon.

Hi… my name is Lynx,

Adopted 10-8-22

I came to The Animal League because I didn’t adjust well when mom had a new baby—I kinda acted up. Hey, at my age it’s a bit hard to accept change! I’m looking for a home where I can be your only object of affection. At 16 pounds, I’m one big boy! I like to be held like a baby, you can rub my belly, and I like petting, scratching and brushing.  I’m shy with strangers but will warm up. If you are looking for a solo pet, I could be your solution. I still have time to be a nice companion. I am sweet and would like to sleep right next to you each night.

Hi… my name is Timber,

Adopted 11-22-22

Did you look at my pictures? My handsome head, the soft ears, the quiet gaze? Mom was kinda secretive about our dad, and I don’t remember much about what she looked like either, but a bit of St. Bernard and perhaps some Springer Spaniel? Here they say that’s how I act: sweet and gentle. I like almost everybody who comes to visit me. Give me a minute to sniff you out, and I’m ready to have my soft ears scratched! I already know a few commands and walk pretty well on a leash, but was told that I need to learn some more. Bring it on, I say! That and a yard to play in, perhaps with a doggie sibling? But most importantly, a forever family of my own.

NOTE: Timber has been social, tolerant, and playful when meeting other dogs in TALGV’s playgroup. Timber would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption to your home.

Hi… my name is Mystic,

Adopted 9-16-22

I come from a home with four children, a dog and three cats. I didn’t really fit in there—there was too much going on for me and I became aggressive with the other cats. I’m very friendly though. You can pick me up and I’ll stay in your lap and take all the petting you will give me. My long black fur is really SILKY, and my eyes are yellow and green. I need a second chance, and I’m thinking a quieter household with no other cats would be better for me. If you can come meet me, I can show you my wonderful coat and turn on the charm. What do you say?

Note: My baby photos are at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Alibi,

Adopted 11-30-22

A housecleaner found me abandoned in a home she was hired to clean, and she brought me to The Animal League. I guess my previous owners don’t know how much that hurts. I’m putting that all behind me, though. Now that I’m here, I’m determined to find someone worthy of my charms—which are many! I’m super-friendly. I’m good with laps and will rub your face. I have a nice gray striped coat and yellow eyes. At my young age I enjoy playtime, including string toys. I have lots of time left to be your companion—won’t you come meet me and get to know me? We could be made for each other!

Hi… my name is Sojourner,

Adopted 10-18-22

I am a petite young lady who was brought to The Animal League along with my kittens. They are all finding homes of their own which pleases me. I am longing for my own home of safety and love. As a stray, not much is known about my life. However, the comforts of meals and a bed, plus kind volunteers petting me is something I really appreciate! I have a lovely orange fur coat with white under my chin. My golden eyes will charm you if my purring doesn’t first! When you come to meet me, be sure to pet my soft fur coat. I’m a beauty you don’t want to miss!
